I’m afraid I had a similar experience to those below. Shockingly bad service from the teenage wait staff, they just didn’t want to be there. Food was ok – meat was cheap and slathered in oil but tasty enough. For 4 people with a starter, main course and beer each plus two $35 groupy vouchers we still ended up paying $20 each. One of the worst value meals I’ve ever had. Pull your socks up confucious!

well, i really really like to agree with the reviewer “simon” but i just CAN’T. we went for a family dinner in this restaurant on friday night, which i thought it would be quite a busy night like in most places on friday night, but this place is quite empty when we arrived at 7.30pm. it was only 4 tables with customers, the rest was just empty space (compare to hansan restaurant a couple of blocks away which were a FULL house). when the time came to place an order, we were told that the duck and lamb were finished (c’mon, at 7.30pm???), and most of the good foods on the menu were crossed off as unavailable. we ended up ordering 5 dishes, and the only one that we can enjoy the most were the beef and prawns, which were just average. the other dishes were just a BIG let down. we also asked for more rice and they brought us a half cooked rice !! i have NEVER EVER been served with half cooked rice in any restaurants in my life. most told me to wait a few minutes for the rice to cook properly, instead of serving half cooked rice. we are an avid chinese foods lovers, so we’d like to think that we know what good and what not, and unfortunately i can NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone who like a good decent chinese food. i guess we were lucky that we only paid half price because of the groupy vouchers, otherwise i would probably ask for my money back.

Fantastic food. Decent value for money (AMAZING with the groupy vouchers, best $10 dinner ever). We had no issues with the service either. They greeted us and saw us to the table when we came in. Took the orders. Food came out promptly. Tea got topped up. Coupons accepted. That’s as much as I’d ever ask for. Either I got lucky or they took the previous reviews on board and improved their service. Somewhere I’ll keep in mind for a night out and if there’s ever any more vouchers I’ll buy them all!

A group of eight bought “groupy vouchers” online after a friend organised a night out. We had a great night out because of the company. The food was ok but service was appalling. They didnt know we were voucher holders until the end so it wasnt that. Where do I begin….well firstly I was told it was $8 corkage per glass but then negotiated to $6 per bottle (oh dear some restaurants simply dont want you back!)Due to a lack of English by anyone in the restaurant I think they avoided us so we received no service at all. Each time we wanted something we had to get up from our table and ask. We ordered 10 dishes including duck. No duck came out but they didnt tell us they didnt have any. There was no communication with us all night. Avoid this place as service means nothing here and it will frustrate you! When we went to pay they informed us we could only use two online “groupy” vouchers per table yet it doesnt say that in the terms! Shame on you Confuscious Chinese Spicy Restaurant!

Went there tonight with a voucher which was purchased from Grabone. Received the worst service EVER!!! the person in the counter was completely rude, and refused to honour the deal (takeaway option which was stated in the GRABONE deal). Then when we were ordering we changed our mind once, he ripped the paper he was writing on and screwed it, showed total dis respect. The food came out fast enough, but neither the quantity or the quality was even close to satisfactory. I only signed up to this site so I could have my voice heard by others about this restaurant, ..personally I will never ever go back, I still have one more voucher, it’s going to the bin. Not worth the hassle and the treatment from their waiters.
