Cook’n with Gas has become rather an icon in Christchurch. This multiple award-winning restaurant offers a very popular combination of top-quality modern New Zealand cuisine within an informal setting in a historic villa.
You will find it difficult to improve upon the quality of food, drink and service provided at Cook’n With Gas. It’s the place to enjoy when looking for a memorable restaurant experience or when you want to ‘show off’ Christchurch to visitors!
Bruce Griffiths and team have created a favourite destination for locals over the last decade, with an eclectic environment that boasts paper on the tables contrasted by cutting-edge cuisine on the plate.
Cook ‘n’ With Gas also emphasises New Zealand wines and a huge range of boutique beers on its extensive beverage list.
Cook’n with Gas is opposite the Court Theatre and between the Museum and Art Gallery on Worcester Boulevard, established in 1999.
The restaurant has different dining rooms which allows it to cater for couples or large groups.
Bookings are advisable as the restaurant is full most evenings!
