We get takeaways from here all the time, and it never disappoints. The food is excellent. Have dined in too, and enjoy it very much, and the staff are always friendly. Strongly recommend this restaurant!!

We have often got a take away from Corianders, the food is always superb.

Visiting the restaurant, however, is not a very nice experience. As always the food is excellent, the atmosphere however is not. The restaurant is badly designed, atmosphere somewhat like sitting in the Riccarton Mall Food Court.

If you want to enjoy a good curry, get a take away from Corianders and go home to eat it!

Easily the best Indian Restaurant in the Christchurch-Selwyn Region that I’ve been to. We’ve been here many many times over the last few years and it is always consistent and tasty. Excellent food, excellent service and great atmosphere if dining in. If you’re after a good Indian Restaurant, this is the place to go.

I’ve been to coriander’s many times and find the staff always friendly and the food consistently good.

A group of five of us dined there recently and had the banquet, there was way too much food. The entree had a variety of there well known marinated meats and samosas. Then we had 6 curries to try with naan breads. A real taste experience. In fact when it came to ordering the curries we just ask then to give us a variety – call it a chefs choice. It makes the experience more interesting and you get to try curries you may not normally order.
There was no way you could eat it all, so we all had doggy bags to take home. Thanks Coriander’s.

I have been to Coriander’s a few times now and have always come out with a belly full of food…(curry’s are full of cream, too much really)

Anyway i am writting to say how badly run this establishment is:

If you order the banquet you get the following for 2 people $40 per person.
- a set of starters (which i must say is very good, way better than the mains)
-3 mains
-tea/coffee and ice cream
Total $80

But if you go with 4 people you get the banquet you get the same amount of food and have to pay $40 each.
Total $160

This does not make sense…you pay double the price for the same amount of food?????

If you buy the banquet with four people you should get 6 mains not 3…

Someone at Corianders cant do maths!!!!!

So a warning get the banquet if there is two of you…but if your party has more then two you will get royally ripped off….

I have been to Coriander’s now on numerous occasions – both dine-in and takeaway.

I always come out of there very full and happy. The service is fantastic and friendly. The food is amazing and never once have I had a bad dinner from this restaurant!

I would highly recommend and it is even better now that they have extended their dining area and have put in a double sided gas fire and you can see into the kitchen and see the chefs preparing your meal – this is particularly entertaining for children. My ten year old daughter loves going to Coriander’s and would happily go there once a week!
