I had been recommended this place, perhaps that is why I was a disappointed. The menu choices were difficult as I couldn’t find much that I wanted. The staff seemed like they didn’t really want to be there which was a bit of a downer for a Friday afternoon.
I hope I just caught them on a bad day.

My partner and I went to the cornerstone for brunch and ordered an omelet each with different toppings. The omelette’s were served and after cutting into them we discovered that they weren’t the omelette’s that we ordered as the toppings were totally different. I took the plates up to the counter and told the staff it was the wrong order. The staff went into the kitchen with the plates and as I was making my way back to my table my partner saw the same staff member reappear from the kitchen with the two plates and served it to the people at the table next to us…..eeeewwwwww yuck….I did not enjoy my new omelet as I kept wondering which parts had been recycled.

We had a meal at the cormerstone on 16 Feb 2009. I have to say that it was the worst food that I have ever eaten in Blenheim. It is also the first time that I have dined out in Blenheim and did not enjoy the food. It was very greasy and stogy.

I had Brunch on Easter Monday, I ordered the Hashbrown & Mushroom Stack, it was totally revolving, when i cut into it the fat from the hashbrowns poured out, along with the oil from the mushrooms, Combined with Feta cheese and drizzled with more fat – oh my God the hollandaise, this was layered with Warm chopped lettuce, and so was aptly name by the group of us called “The Fat Stack. my suggestion is to pass on this , and save your coronary arteries, I am this of calling the ministry of health to ban this dish.
