We have been to other restaurants and in comparison we have now only ever go to the Lincoln restaurant. We have to travel 20mins to get there but have found it sooo worth it. Both to dine in (yes the cost is a little more – to be expected and also a special night out) the kids also enjoy the curries and we do get the takeaways at times too. Love the meal everytime!!

We dined here recently for my wifes birthday and was first visit. It will also be our last. Was not a good experience. We are lunch diners only. The service was shocking and we were “penalised” twice, once for choosing to dine in, with a nasty little $2 dine in fee which we have never encountered before and we eat at many. Second, we had the audacity to order a mango lassi which came within 5 mins. We waited an appalling 40 mins before receiving our food, a record for us. 2 other lots of diners who came after us were served their orders before us. On complaining to the older Indian male manager he delivered a story that this happens when you order a lassi. Huh?? My wife and I have never heard of such a thing anywhere. He proceeded to show me the chits for each client, totally irrelevant. Also this place does not include naan breads in the rather expensive price like many others. We can do so much better elsewhere and not worth the trip to Lincoln. My wife had a chicken Rogan Josh who ,as an Indian, she rated excellent. However my Dal Tadka was pathetic. No real flavour to speak of ,was colourless not like a curry, rather like a thick kiwi vegetable soup. A sad effort for a 40 min wait. At least the lassi was fabulous, the best. Praised the manager on this, all I got was a grunt. Oh dear. We were treated poorly and it ruined our celebratory eat out.

Consistently great food and friendly service. They have an extensive menu and a good range of vegetarian curries (the dal tadka is especially good). Great chicken wrap lunch deal for $5 (tandoori chicken in naan) which is really tasty and filling. They’ve had some issues with long waits due to insufficient staff I think, but I expect this won’t last and the food is definitely worth the wait!

Curry pot is a great little indian restaurant and take away, even there $5 lunch special chicken wraps are good, well worth it. Been here lots and will again. Prices are good and not much of await for meals.

First visit to the Curry Pot. I read these reviews prior to going and was expecting an average outing.
I must say I very much enjoyed the restaurant and meal.
Plenty of elbow room which you don’t normally get at other Indian Restaurants. The meal was not rushed out and an appropriate amount of time between courses. Excellent starter and very good main course with plenty of rice provided.
Very marginally pricey given other Indian Rest. although good premises and good service. Will def go back again.

Went here for dinner and really enjoyed our meals but what let it down was the service, waitress wasn’t overly friendly and looked like she would rather be elsewhere, then when our drinks order was taken our unopened bottle of wine was plonked down on the table and just left there for us to open.. It wasn’t like it was a busy night and she didn’t have time, I guess she just thought it easier for us to do it…will probably be back for take aways but might skip dining in again.

After having been to the Curry Pot every week for the past 6 months for lunch on a Friday I will no longer return. After pre ordering my lunch over the phone to save me time when dining in… I had my lunch and found as I paid that the lunch special changed last week and as what I ordered is not on the list my $10 lunch was now $18. Ouch. Why was I not told when I ordered over the phone? And also why is medium mild and why did my order taste exactly the same and my friends.. they took and order for two different dishes and then just served the one. I won’t be back.

Given that its the only curry place in Lincoln I was soooo glad when it opened!
The atmosphere is average for dine in (but getting better). However, the curries are excellent and I’ve yet to have a bad meal as i work through the menu.

Absolutely delicious curries! I have tried a number of their dishes and none have failed to please. Prices are also very reasonable, especially for lunch meals. Good service, especially when we asked if it could be rushed, we were in a hurry – we were advised on what the quickest curries to make were, we took his advice, and the food was done in about 5-6 minutes! Fantastic. Decor inside could do with a bit more liveliness.
