I have been going to the Curry Village since it opened, over 10 years ago. It is without doubt the best curry in the Wellington Region. You get a very tasty meat filled curry at reasonable prices and the variety of breads is great, hot and very tasty.

Over the years I have introduced many friends and family to the Curry Village and they too have become regulars.

If you have not been there yet, I challenge you to try it once. I am confident that if you do, you too will become a regular like me.

My husband and I are very keen on curry and have tried most of the curry restaurants in the Wellington area. Although most of them are acceptable, the lack of meat in the curry seems to be the constant complaint we would have. Paying $15-$20 for a bowl of gravy is such a disappointment.

This is not so with the Curry Village. If you want a decent tasty meat filled curry, then you should try this place. Instead of getting a bowl of gravy, as with many other places, at the Curry Village you are treated to one of the best curries, if not the best in Wellington.

I would say, once you have tried the Curry Village, you will not be satisfied anyway else. Reasonable prices, friendly staff and the best curry in Wellington – well done!

Great food and service

Really surprising, could be one of the best curry places in Wellington with it’s good food

If it moved it’s location from under the canopies to a more hospitable place, then I reckon it’d be up with the big boys in the Wellington curry scene

WARNING – Eating at this place can be highly addictive.
Are there any other words you may think of apart from awesome, fabulous, mind-blowing, marvelous, incredible for this very restaurant. Been to ‘n’ number of curry houses in the UK, Australia and NZ. For me, as a customer it beats it’s competitors by a fair margin. I am now spending 35% of my weekly income on an average at this place. March on guys!!

Just had Curry Village for dinner.
We ordered lamb madras, butter naan and onion bahji (excuse spelling) takeaway and had it when we got home.
It was cooked well and tasted great!!

I’ve been to curry village with friends many times before and I will recommend it to anyone.fast friendly service, clean enviroment very nice food, pitty I can still see the outside of the restaurant while eating. they should put something up so we cant see the people outside. put me off while eating

My cousin and I decided to go to Curry Village after watching a movie. I was absolutely pleased with the service, and the atmosphere of the restaurant and the food was the BOMB I’d recommend people dine there whenever they get the chance. I plan on taking my Mum there for her belated Mother Day’s gift.

We’d booked a table for seven people and added four extra at the door as we met some friends. The staff were very accommodating in arranging tables etc, even though they were busy.

The food was good, I shared butter prawns and prawn balti, both were very tasty, although we needed more rice than was served. The starter platters of bahji, spring rolls and samosas were no outstanding, but presented nicely.

A good all round curry place for a weekday treat!

I had a Butter Chicken, it was nice and creamy. Low light had to be the rice that came out with it, (they had a deal on with a curry, naan and rice) it seemed old and crunchy. :C

I think the restaurant is great so it the one in Otaki yea they cant always deliver but most nights they do so emma you need to build a bridge buddy there are to many whingers like you around. The lamb Jaipori is beautiful and the pesh nan is yum!!

been there so many times they know me and the mrs by name. absolutely beautiful, i recommend the chicken tikka lababdaar with peshwari naan. mmm.

We love this place as our local curry resturant. Been probably 5 times and the service as always been A1 with a smile.
Prompt service and great food and good portion sizes. As the other review said the garlic naan is great. Jasmine rice has always been fluffy and great and they have always given more on request. Always had a good time there.

Well the first time I tried to get indian delivered to my house and when I rang up Curry Village they said they DON’T deliver. Seems like to me they are misleading the public with their website. Be better off going somewhere else!

After watching a movie we decided to treat ourselves to a nice curry. This restaurant was the closest. I had the Beef Masala and friend had the Chicken korma we ordered entrees as well (Mixed platter for 2) which were all very delicious and generous servings. I recommend you order the garlic & butter Naan the best I’ve tasted anywhere. Service was great and the atmosphere very ethnic, warm and friendly. Definitely visit again.
