Didn’t enjoy at all. Butter chicken tasted like a can of tomato sauce had been poured over chicken, naan was nice.
Wouldn’t go there again! Wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there either!
There were hardly any chicken pieces in my main, which wasn’t satisfying at all,

We went in mid week – was a quiet night out dining.
Food was much better than expected and service was excellent and very attentive. Even when it started getting busier. Nice relaxing atmosphere.
Only thing I could fault were the poppadoms – not quite what I expected

We’re from Scotland and visiting Upper Hutt for a week on our travels. We found Curry Workz a great place to eat. The food was excellent and the service fabulous. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

The Only place that’s Never let us down. We love Curry Workz! Eating In, taking away, and now they Deliver (can you imagine our joy when we found that out?).
I mean if I really want to stretch I’ll say once…. 3 years ago there was too much coriander in one of my Butter Chickens. But seriously, that’s the worst I can say. The service is friendly, but more importantly it’s genuine, and in no way obsequious. They remember who we are, even if it’s been months between visits. When I challenged them to make one dish as hot as it could go for my tough as nails partner, oh boy did they deliver! Honestly, my partner and I try to be easy going and forgiving in society when things go wrong, but Curry workz have always delivered the best food and service and never given us anything to forgive. They’re Brilliant!

I love Curry Workz. It has a loyal following of regulars and I often recommend it. My favourite naan is the garlic naan, and there are so many delicious curries to choose from. I always look forward to going back.

Great food but also great service. We’re vegan/vegetarian and the owners are only too pleased to oblige/discuss etc. All reasonably priced as well. It’s our favourite Indian restaurant.

Me and my partner eat here often and it never fails to please. The food is delicious and the staff are very friendly and accomodating. Lunch meals are a great size and price. My only criticism would be that the pappadoms are priced a little high.

This was the best Indian food we have ever tasted in NZ. Food was very authentic, no-nonsense and very original. We feel it tasted better than some of the 5-star hotels even in India. Good spice mix, vegetables cooked to the right levels, sumptuous portions, and courteous service. All other Indian restaurants here sell sub-standard food compared to this. Curry work simply stands out, and by the way good news for vegans – the Naan here does not have egg in it, and they do not mix non-vegetarian with vege curries. Even the Lassi was so authentic Punjabi.. We wish to return to this restaurant often..

This is The greatest Curry house I have ever been to. The food is very authentic tasting, the staff are friendly and the service is fast whether you are eating at the restaurant or having takeaway and the staff are always friendly. I eat here at least once a month and i have not once been disappointed.

Well…wasn’t this the great have!
Ordered online on the website and got the banquet…pay $26.50 and save $60 it says…
Picked up the order, and it’s pay $53 and get $26.50 worth of food!
Butter chicken had a fruit chutney taste, rogan josh was more like a grogan josh.
Will never go there again!

We would NOT go to Curry Works again. If I could have had my way, we would not have visited that place in the first place as I knew what would happen. We had to call for the waiter to order the drinks as the staff did not observe that the men emptied their glasses. We had to wait over an hour before our main meal was served. We were told that the tandoori had cooled down which was the reason for the delay (but the take away orders went on time). Asking why the take away customers received their order before we did, we were told because they ordered a main meal (but so did we). Then we were told that the tandoori broke. Two of us were waiting for our naan bread while our friends had theirs. We were told that we couldn’t have the naan as the tandoori broke down. I was offered a roti which I don’t like and my friend did not get hers at all. Then another waiter came to bring one naan. When we told him that we were told that the tandoori was broken and we couldn’t get our naan because of it, he said he didn’t know anything about that and the tandoori just cooled down.
The meal was nice and MY naan was fabulous (the best I ever tasted in fact).
The staff apologized and offered us 10% discount and a free desert. We had to decline the desert as it was simply too late. When it came to pay for our meal we got one bill which then had to be broken down as we wanted separate bills. Although the waitress used a calculator, we had to argue about the bill as she didn’t get it right, over charging one bill.
To summon it all up – the meal was good but the service leaves a lot to be desired. This was not my first bad experience in this restaurant but it was the last as we won’t go there again.
