I have eaten here a couple times and also pop in for coffee now and then. I find the staff very friendly and the food and coffee is great – an all round good eating experience. I cant help that feel that the review from ‘Anni M’ is a little on the harsh side and as i have worked in the hospitality business myself i understand that some people are hard to please..

Just last week i popped into delicacy for the first time. The environment made me feel instantly comfortable, the staff were efficient and very lovely to talk to. Coffees were excellent and the spanakopita they have on the menu….to die for!

We had been to this café a couple of times before and the food had been ok but after today’s lunch we’ve decided not to go back. The interior is stark and the hard floor
and no soft furnishings seem to amplify the noise from the kitchen, crashing plates and a very noisy coffee machine operator… not to mention the slamming of the back door throughout our meal, almost had us reaching for the panadols. The wailing rap music wasn’t helping either..
We opted for the Hot Dish of the Day, a spicy beef and mushroom casserole which was so spicy that it was unpleasant to eat; too many chili flakes obliterated any other flavours including the mushrooms.
Service was very slack. My partner had to go to the counter several times to get service/chase up the drinks and it wasn’t busy, just a few diners. When the coffees did arrive they were plonked down loudly on the edge of our table. We had to wait a millennium for our two pieces of carrot cake. When they did finally materialize it was dry and our drinks were cool. For the price we expected much more, a disappointing lunch on a number of fronts: food, atmosphere/noise and service, you’d do better to try elsewhere.
