This 5 stars for service only.
We were looking around this place last Wednesday but when I and my partner attempt to leave, 1 good attitude gentleman invited us in , to have a look on the menu.
We ordered our food with the same dude but astonishingly his charming smile didn’t leave his face all the time while he was taking our order and helping us to choose our food.
Later on , another guy served our food but he missed our entree, this issue was noticed so fast by the first gentleman who invited us in.
Here this dude, again with absolutely great smile served us a really nice dessert as compliment to correct the other guy mistake.
Honestly. What a real great hospitality, what a fabulous feeling, we really felt as we were so important peoples and more than VIPs.
This is hospitality, this is service.
About the food, just average, not big deal.
Overall, we will be back and we hope to be served same way.

We have visited this restaurant twice in two months, one for lunch the other for dinner. Both times received excellent service and the food quality was exceptional.
Our favourite is their pastry dishes. For vegetarians we highly recommend either the beetroot ravioli or zucchini ravioli, for meat eaters lamb shanks with pasta was just as lovely. They make their own bread, pasta, ricotta and mozzarella cheese which shows in the quality food that is produced. Would love to go back again!

absolutely outstanding cuisine. The staff are friendly and they make you feel so welcome. It is the second time i have eaten here and both times they excelled. I highly recommend it expecially the Tiramisu…..best this side of the Mediterranian!!!
I visited last week and overall I was very please with both the food and the service and I felt that the prices were reasonable for what I was getting. Our waiter was great, a young man by the name of Andrew if I’m correct who seemed to be really knowledgeable about both the foods and wines. I was just please with the over all experience and atmosphere of this place it’s definitely improved from my past visits.
I will be returning again

Horrible evening, they totally forgot our orders. Finally after waiting 2 HOURS, average food was put in front of us. They tried to make up for it with a free drink?? No excuse for poor service like that. Will not return.

We ate here tonight and were very disappointed with the extremely poor/forgetful service. I agree with other comments that with the prices as they are, we expected better service. We ended up leaving before dessert as no one came to take our order, despite trying to flag down more than one waiter. The food was ok (not amazing), but we won’t be back.
This was once my local favourite but since it has changed hands this place is terrible. The pasta is nowhere as good so not worth the price. My pasta came in a sea of butter and the wait was too long. So sad, I will never return.
Way too expensive! For these prices go to a restaurant where the staff actually give you service. I have been there twice with my partner. She really enjoyed the meals, however admitted both times that the service was really very poor. When paying $38 for a main I didn’t expect to have to keep flagging the waitress down to get an update (90 minutes after order was placed) or have to ask for drinks… etc etc. You get the picture, really slow, forgetful service.
The meals would have been fine if they were priced according to what was on offer. My partner did enjoy, however agreed that for the most part it was quite bland.
The first time we dined here, we had entrees, mains, a couple of bottles of wine (you get the idea it was an expensive night out for two), however were really let down after waiting for 90 minutes for our mains I was brought the wrong dish. The correct dish was finally brought out 30 minutes later, however my partner had already finished.
We waited for an hour to be brought the desert menus, however they never came. I was pretty let down at this stage, however 6 months later we gave it another go.
Slightly better, however this time we only spent $80 and called it quits.
On one last note – the restaurant itself is cold, fridgelike and sterile. It looks really cool from outside, however seating is so close together (literally a table 20cm directly beside us), I could hear every conversation around us.
Will I go back here….. I would rather save my money and go to Vinnies – which is around the same price. I can’t believe these restaurants are both in the metro top 50, or priced the same.

Have been out of town for two and a bit months, was so looking forward to dine at my favourite place, Delicious.
It was so disappointed to find out that the place has all changed – the new seating arrangement and deco have made the place unwelcoming and cold; the big Italian dessert chiller is gone, replaced with a smaller one & limited choice; all new staff crew with a different service experience, too many of them looking at you eating, and less friendly; the food presentation was less authentic and very salty. Can’t see the chefs cooking and the kitchen crew has changed as well. The place was much quieter than my visits in years.
Sorry, too many changes for ‘not so good’ experience and vibe.
Good bye my old Delicious, hope I can find the original chefs from another place again one day!!

I have eaten here quite a few times, and I really like the food. It is great pasta and non pretentious. Good, simple food that as the name suggests is delicious. I am rarely disappointed and prefer the smaller menu, which is done very well, rather than trying to be all things to all people.
Reliable for consistently good food. I will continue to return.

I visited Delicious a few weeks ago and was impressed. The wine list is fantastic and the food really really good. I ordered the lamb shanks on papperdelle and my partner ordered the cauliflower pasta. Mine was better by far but his was still good.
Really fresh pasta makes every dish a pleasure to eat but I do think the menu could offer a few different options. In saying that, if I went again I would order the same thing.
Dessert didn’t match the main and the place was very busy but we still had prompt service and didn’t mind having a drink at the bar while we waited for our table.
Over all a really good night

Thought we’d try our local a couple of nights ago and have to say we were impressed.
Not a huge choice of dishes but what we did have was perfectly cooked and absolutely “Delicious”.
I have to say I think its the best Italian in the area and we will definitely be back.

Food was great, service was a bit slow, we ended up waiting for about an hour for our mains to arrive. It is quite cramped as well which meant we could hear the conversations from the tables next to us and it was quite hard to hear our own conversation. Recommend the food, but would probably try and go on a night thats not as busy.

I had the pleasure of enjoying dinner here with my brother a few evenings back. I must say I’ve never seen a place so busy in Grey Lynn on a Tuesday. The food looked promising aside from being overpriced. Even so we both enjoyed the hearty pastas, but felt the hour long wait was not ideal.
I do wish to return but next time I may shy away if it looks to busy. Thanks so much Delicious!

How cool is this place?
Cool enough to have us back two nights in a row for the broad bean and pancetta ravioli.
Delissimo.
The menu is small. Breads, a soup, sometimes two.
A few pasta options, gnocchi, risotti.
The tiramisu is the best in Auckland according to my beloved.
Who am I to disagree?
Good wine selection, great music.
Uncomplicated and very satisfying.
Just what I want in a bloke, and a suburban pasta joint.
