Where to start…a quick glance into the kitchen revealed a dirty cooking area and a cook that didn’t have her hair tied back and was texting. The food was not what was expected for the price paid. The beef burger was average and the fish burger had one small tomato slice and a measly slice of beetroot on a giant bun. The chips were ok, but some of the cutlery was crusted with old food. It’s a shame, because a gourmet burger place is somewhere I woud frequent, but because of the price and the low quality of food experienced I will not be returning to Devil Burger.

I had heard a lot about Devil Burger so perhaps my anticipation got the better of me. I expected it to be as good as Fergburger in Queenstown, but unfortunately it didn’t measure up. The burgers were OK but needed more taste as the buns were HUGE and a little overpowering. I don’t think I’d be back as if I’m paying gourmet prices for a burger I expect a gourmet burger.

I had DEVILS STEAK BURGER $17.50
200g Rib-eye steak, salad greens, grilled tomato,
smoked cheese, streaky bacon, aioli and finished
off with 2 hash browns.

It took just over 10 minutes to be served , the Steak was Medium but no blood , This is a big burger but comes on a plate , the salad was best all week , green lettuce , thin slices of green ,red and yellow capsicum , tomatoes and the two hash browns and bacon and cheese where so clean and fresh, I’ll be going back. This is the best steak meal I had all week m and it’s disguised as a humble burger. Big ups Devil Burger.

My first experince with devil burger was great, the burger was fantastic, service was with a smile and we all left very satisfied…however my recent trip was less than impressive..
ALl i am going to say in if you are serving a marinated chicken fillet in a burger, the chicken fillet should not be crumbed first. As the crumbing mixed with marinade equals a terrible jelly like coating. It was so bad that i removed the chicken and was left with a vege burger – the most expensive vege burger known to man.
As i have had one good experiance and one bad i will go back…hopefully my next experiance will be better.
