I took some overseas visitors here for brunch this weekend, we ordered food however when it arrived they sent a veggie breakfast instead of a veggie Benedict, when we pointed this out and asked for the veggie Benedict the manager was very rude insisting we had ordered wrong and she wouldn’t change it, she argued and spoke over the top of my husband who was trying to say that he had not made the wrong order.
She was incredibly rude, the customer service in this cafe is terrible, I would never eat here again or recommend it and as a local Devonport resident I feel embarrassed that visitors may also be experiencing this sort of appalling behaviour.

Had deal voucher for $30 worth of food and beverage. However, it did not state you cannot use it for cabinet food. Same experimence as few other people with deal voucher that the owner wont let me order pastry from cabinet. The food ordered from the menu was okay. Really dislike company that mislead customer. Will never go back again.
I am at Connection Cafe now, having purchased a deal voucher for $15 to purchase $30 worth of food and beverage. The voucher terms only state that it must be used in one transaction. I have ordered a coffee, muffin and four pies, the pies to takeaway. When I presented my voucher I have been told that I cannot have ANY items from the display cabinet near the till which includes pies, quiches, filled croissants and cakes and pastries. This means I can’t even have the muffin I ordered with my coffee! I am told that I must order from the menu ie the cafe would prefer to sell me an item or more which they must make to my order and present on a plate etc, rather than selling me some items from their cabinet! Why, surely they still redeem my voucher deal for the same value and I am not creating any work in the kitchen? A totally unacceptable policy which has resulted in my having to order three bagels with accompaniments, make them into sandwiches myself and wrap them up to take away, leaving three dirty plates !! Bizarre. I would not recommend this cafe. The Manager / Owner was unpleasant and the customer service sorely lacking.

We went here with a deal voucher to redeem. Ordered eggs benedict and 2 flat whites. What we got was 2 poached eggs and bacon – no hollandaise or spinach as the menu described. When I asked if this was their eggs bene they told me that it was and it doesn’t come with hollandaise – ??? Pretty disappointing really. I have a feeling that they were just giving a budget version to the voucher customers since we had already paid. Coffee was average too. We will not be going back.
