The best Chinese takeway we have eaten in Auckland. Really generous portions of meat in the dishes cooked with vegetables. Service is fast & efficient.
Love the beef & bok choy, Thai chicken, and Hong Kong style meat chow mein.
Most dishes around $15 and are very generous. We always have leftovers.

I would recommend the sweet and sour pork and chicken fried rice with cashews(of course)and the won ton are delicious and cheap!

So if u are looking for a good feed go to diamond!!

Every time we go here the quality of the food is amazing!! It is often quite busy and can be hard to get through on the phone but the turnaround time for their meals is quick and easy and definitely worth the wait.

I’ve been going to Diamond Takeaways since 1992 and will never go to any other Chinese takeaway. I’ve learnt to phone my order through first because they are ALWAYS so busy, absolute proof of the quality of their food. Right from the beginning I’ve had to wait but it’s worth it. For me their sweet & sour pork is unbeatable, in fact I’m going to get some for my dinner tonight. I have never had a bad dish from Diamond and no matter where in Auckland I live, I’ll always always buy from them. To anyone who’ve read the bad reviews, sit outside Diamond and see how many customers are spilling out the door. Valma T

Yeah these guys are real good. We would have been there 20 times in the last 2 years and is always good. These guys do half sizes of most of their main dishes as well so we often get one or two big dishes and then 3 halves to get a full gambit of tastes

excellent Singapore fried noodles

Definitely the best Chinese food I have ever had, and very consistent. We have been purchasing from them ever since I moved into the area – 5+ years and it is always great!

Their Diamond Special Fried Rice is a great option if you are having trouble deciding!

Best to phone in advance to order, as they are usually quite busy and can have a bit of a wait if you don’t!

Fish and Chips is also good, but would recommend the fresh fish (not frozen).

Excellent tasty food. Always a high standard!!! But note they do use MSG – but they have food without MSG, so just remember to ask for it.

Went here after seeing all the good reviews. Got the lemon chicken which was OK and a Squid chop suey. The squid chop suey was awful! The squid the worst squid I’ve ever had. Totally bland (No flavour at all!) and very chewy.

I guess the whole lot sat in a wok stewing for ages because the veges were just about slop, they were falling apart they were so soft.

Diamond, if you read this. Just ask your Chef to make this dish then taste it. I bet you’ll change it pretty quick!

I should have gone a bit further up the road to love-a-duck! Grrrr.

Best takeaway place in NZ my family has been going there for twenty years and we are yet to be let down comment before was absolutely ridiculous plus it was very rude saying that the building was falling down get some manners, you are missing out if you don’t try this place the owners are really nice to which is always a bonus, try it sooooooooooooooooo yummy,

Well I thought I would give this place a go as it has been around forever….what a mistake!!!Clearly they should stick to Chinese food. Fish and chips were a disgrace. Most likely got shark as thats what is tasted like.Chips soggy and burger a joke!! and the place looks like it is falling down. How a place like this is still in business I have no idea.

Food is excellent. Our family loves good quality chinese and every time we get takeaways they are excellent. Can be relied on for good fast food. (Unlike the fish and chip shop across the road – we tried it and will never go back)

Best choice for Asian takeaway if your living in the Auckland CBD. Very generous servings, cooked to perfection. Also prices are very attractive, well worth the money!

Highly recommend this place to everyone. Food is delicious, Staff are friendly, and the cooking area is spotless…so go there and place your order!!
