Great food at a very good price. Really enjoy this place. For it’s location I expected something a lot pricier but it was not like that at all. Have been back a few times since. I think that if you’re looking for somewhere breakfast or lunch or brunch then this is the perfect place to go. Very helpful and polite staff too.
Dida’s is our pick of Auckland City cafes. Excellent and imaginative food, reasonable prices, best coffee around capped by super, friendly service. We make Dida’s our lunch destination whenever we are in the area.

Lenny really makes you come back to Dida’s. The coffee is great, the food is delicious, but the service under Lenny is superlative.
Free WiFi is also a bonus. Dida’s ticks all the boxes for me.

Excellent at all times of day (open 7 am to 7 pm every day). Good for coffee, lunch, takeaway meals… great food options, great coffee, lovely light space to sit in, excellent magazines to browse and the paper is generally available too. A very regular stopping off place for me!

Came as a group of 4. Really wanted to sit inside but no table available. We were offered blankets and heaters turned on for outside and table saved for us inside as soon as it came available. Nice big fillet of salmon with the scrambled eggs, for a decent price. Highly recommended, cannot wait to return to have a antipasto platter and wine.
Went for a brunch. Salad mix and warm stacked Tortilla was super yummy, coffee was very nice and the porridge superb. Also got some pastries for home which were also nice. Most of the staff were really nice too, one seemed a bit annoyed.

I had a “Large salad” dine-in, and it was AMAZING. There were at least 4 or 5 vegetarian salads to choose from – all brimming with delicious fresh flavours of dressings, cheese and super-fresh veges.
It was one of the few cafes open, early January in this area, so it was CRAMMEd full… so the 4 of us, including two pre-schoolers perched on the long communal table. A bit awkward… but to be honest, we were meeting at the child-friendly cafe next door, but it was closed! It’s not really the place to bring pre-schoolers, but I’m glad we did, as the food was incredible, and well-worth the stressed-out glances we were getting from people as our children were getting under their feet. Oops!
I would definitely return, minus children, to enjoy those beautiful salads again. Helpful, friendly service too – even when they were run off their feet.

My favourite meeting place for lunch — wide selection of excellent salads, very good value and reasonably priced. Good coffee, indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly staff, popular with the locals.

Great coffee and excellent breakfast however my favourite thing about Dida’s is the amazing cheese counter. I love buying a few different cheeses to take home, along with the excellent liver parfait/pate. The staff have a good knowledge of their fresh products and are happy to patiently explain what they have on offer.
