I have nothing but bad feedback for this place! I have been to most souvlaki places in Christchurch in search of a decent souvlaki. I have been here 3 times hoping each time for better service and food, each time I have gone I have been sorely disappointed! Each time the food was sloppy. I had chicken the first time and it was under cooked. The second and third time I went I got lamb, lamb was all grisel and fat the first and totally over cooked the second. I will never be back! I hope that the owners read this and train their staff properly. I was appalled by the young women who have served me, the attitude was that of someone who couldn’t care less about their customers. I cannot rate them low enough.

defiantly the best tasting souvlaki’s around by far and the lamb is the best tasting lamb i have ,unlike most souvlaki shops where you get nothing but salad slop and buggy all meat ,here you get more meat than salad .The only thing i can fault about dimitris greek food is that they are all ways so busy and some times there mite be a wee wait but you will be so happy once your first bite that you will not even remember the wait, go try one for your self today.

Delicious! They make the best Souvlaki’s I have ever had. Also have the best falafel I’ve ever tasted. I recommend the falafel souvlaki to everyone, even people who are not vegetarian. I just wish Dimitris was open for dinner!

The souvlaki’s are none comparable to any souvlaki I have had.
The service is fast and friendly. I always get a smile when i walk through the door.
if you have not eaten here you must go. I promise you will be addicted from the first bite.

Amazing Souvlaki’s, no matter what type of meat you get; Chicken, Beef, Lamb. All of them are juicy and the salad is fresh and the souvlaki is so filling it makes a great lunch! I’ve tried these souvlaki’s in the old store before the CHC earthquake and I loved that you guys came to the Winter Wonderland at Canterbury University and I hope you guys come back this winter so I can enjoy your souvlaki more often!

Prettymuch irresistible. Consistently the best chicken souvlakis you will ever taste. So glad to find they have reopened and still just as happy and friendly as ever. Great value for money as I have a very happy belly after I succeed in finishing the souvlaki.

Simply the best! The food is outstanding and delicious and consistently good. They are the BEST souvlakis ever! And the owners are friendly and nice people too. I have been going to their temporary kiosk in Mandeville St (Riccarton) but can’t wait for them to return to the city location.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard or read a bad review for Dimitris. They are super friendly and their food is to die for. It is quite simply the best Greek Food I’ve ever tasted. I’m so grateful that they are still operating here in ChCh. I have to get my fix at least once a week! Absolutely delicious.
