Best Eggs Benedict I’ve had. Very enjoyable indeed. Munhle numsaan munhle. Staff friendly and attentive, food varied but focused. Grounds stunning. Art arty…..Just one critique….too far from Rotorua for a daily visit :+

Wow! Friendly staff! Awesome food. So good I have been back twice in one week. New owners are really doing a good job. Lovely art and gifts, a big variety to choose from. Prices are fare. Will definitely be back.
We had breakfast during the New Year Period.
The food was really fresh and well presented. They do seem to employ a lot of young staff but our service was quick and friendly.
The cafe has a good buzz and the seating out the back is a great environment to enjoy your meal.
The coffee on the day we went was fantastic.

A friend and I stopped in for Brunch yesterday at Dragonfly cafe. The staff, the food and the service was outstanding. I had a few requests and the man on the front counter did not bat an eyelid. The coffee was hot and tasty and the food arrived in record time. The place was busy but no staff were flusted. They have a great little gift shop. It is a great place to stop in and I would certainly make it a regular stop when I am headed up that way again.

We had a fabulous time at Dragonfly. Their pumpkin soup was absolutely incredible. The service was very fast. The coffee was great! There was plenty of seating inside or out.
This cafe is well worth a visit.

I had to write a review of the Dragonfly Cafe and Gallery – I live in the Puhoi area and head towards Matakana from time to time. I have been to two social functions at Dragonfly this year – birthday and a get together and have found the food DELICIOUS – the staff so friendly and open and efficient. The coffee is short of perfect and their chai lattes are so much better then chai lattes I have drunk at other cafes – I’m absolutely astounded with the reviews that are somewhat negative. I went to Dragonfly last week with my two adult daughters and we sat there and totally scrutinised the cafe – one of my daughters is extremely discerning and couldn’t speak more highly of Dragon Fly – I eat only Gluten and my daughter eats only Raw and we both found food that was not only suitable but delicious. If you are thinking of heading to Dragonfly from Auckland – want a drive and somewhere nice to eat then Dragonfly is the answer.

Gave them a second chance today (14/03/09).
Would never go back. Anerage to above average food. Chaotic and slack service.
Ordered: 3 pasta, one burger with NO avocado, one chicken fillet. One bottle of wine.
Got: 3 pasta, one burger WITH Avocado, one chicken BURGER! Four single glasses of wine – then charged for a whole bottle.
(Refunded the balance after complaint)

I went there and it was a nice place and location but they had way too many staff on (there were like 7 of them standing around). My orange and almond friand thingy was nice especially considering it was gluten free. At least you could taste the coffee but I did have a double shot though, it was over extracted (that horrible taste left in your throat).

This place is outstanding. Lovely outside table setting. Amazing food selection. We asked for a latte in a bowl. And even though thats not normally provided the team sorted it out for us. Definitely willing to go the exta distance for the customer. Great gallery and artwork too. A+ cafe experience.

This cafe had a good floor staff, but i found the manager to be rude, arrogant, and disrespectful. If i was to pass this cafe again, i would not use their services.
