Went to this friendly restaurant, on the 15th of May for my birthday dinner – although we were the only 4 in the place, it was a relaxing night out enjoyed with my daughter and a few friends. We had a very very lovely polite waitress, who we had a few laughs with. The menu is just wonderful, we found that usually there’s only certain things we could have of menus at restaurants but I couldn’t make my mind up at all. My daughter was very happy to hear she got a free dessert with her children meal – and we were very pleased with the massive meals we received. We will definitely be returning to Duufa’s on Factory. Soooo relaxing!
Our family of 7 had Mother’s Day lunch at Duufa’s and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The price was very reasonably at $161.00 for our meals and drinks.
We will be back.

We booked a table days before. When we arrived there was no table reserved for us.
We ordered our meal within 20 minutes of being seated.
It took almost 2 hours to get our meal !!!!!
The very friendly waitresses apologised but it didn’t make our food come any quicker.
At one point the waitress said the person in charge just kept taking bookings and walk-in diners when they should have said they were fully booked – is this a case of greed. “Get’em in and take their money!.”
The food was nice……………. once it arrived.
When we paid ($282 for 6) there was no apology from the older man and woman (who I assume are the owners). No offer of a free coffee or small discount.
A simple 1 to 1 1/2 hour Sunday lunch turned into a 3 1/2 hour marathon.
We weren’t the only ones that complained. Several other groups (some with small children) made it very clear they were unhappy with the slow service. One group walked out.
The food was nice but we won’t be going back.

Lunchtime roast (usually?) pork, $11.50. What an experience! This was a classy dining experience in a glorious atmosphere. Service was fine, food was very good (TONS of pork, not thin-sliced but thick like steaks with some delicious big chunks) on a squarish white plate (I’m always a sucker for them!), and the atmosphere:
Grab an old villa, knock out most interior walls, add paint/plaster, carpet, tables etc, a few scenic paintings on the walls. Add courtyard and tables outside too for good weather, and that’s Duufa’s Cafe Bar and Restaurant.
I’ll be back.

Shared business lunch recently with a colleague. First time there since it was The Weaver’s Retreat. Food OK but colleague (from Wellington) remarked that his fish & fries choice was small for the price but adequate as a lunch meal if it had been a bit cheaper. Friendly, attentive service.
