Each of the four of us had different meals, the service was OK, but slow. My tandoori chicken had hardly any taste to it. The rice was only just warm. It is over priced compared for what you get and what is on offer locally as well.

The drinks are overpriced – way more than other bars, and the alcohol is watered down. We all agreed on that point. Probably wont go back as I am just disgusted at how much the alcohol was watered down.

My wife & I went for dinner recently – the service was very slow my entree was calamari which was average my wife’s soup was microwaved hot but nice & both our mains (when they arrived) were good and well presented.
In short average to good food service slow – expected more for the cost involved – prices silver service.

Have dined here a few times. Lunch and dinner plus staff function. First time was lunch not long after they had opened. Being adventurous I had the deep fried marrow balls, oh dear blobs of fat encased in bread crumbs. That chef I believe has moved on. Since then things have picked up markedly.

Nothing to rave about in the food department, but nothing to complain about either, exactly what I would expect for a pub/restaurant. Held our Christmas staff function and was very pleased with both the food and service. Went back recently for lunch and again good food and service. Solid 4 star rating for its market niche.

I have to been to Ed Street several times now. The two times, AMAZING!!! I could not stop raving about. We had amazing service, they could not pay more attention to us and we were left feeling like old friends! This made the already amazing food better, with service like that they could have given us dog biscuits and we would have loved it! As it was the food was amazing. HOWEVER the last couple of times we have had the young waitresses serving us and I must say they are the B team and need ALOT more training to keep the standard as high. Because of this the food was average and we were left feeling slightly let down. Although they still paid us attention we kept having to ask for more drinks and water topped up. Was slightly disappointing. We also love how lunch is served downstairs, although we are not sure on the rules for upstairs, sometimes it is open and sometimes you have to sit downstairs in the bar.. this is confusing and I think dinner should be upstairs all the time. I would recommend going here, but it has moved down my favourite list a notch or two. Get the amazing service consistent and I will be there everyday!!

Delicious meal – garlic bread, pizzas and choc mousse were all fantastic!!
Water was topped up and although it took them a while to take our order the food came quickly once we had placed it.
Service a bit lacking in personality but the food def made up for it :D

Dined here last week for lunch and selected from their $12.50 lunch menu, I had a BLAT and my friend had the Fish and Chips.

Both were really good – generous portion sizes, nice side salads and chips. The bacon was the best I’ve ever tasted. They definately don’t skimp on quality of ingredients unlike other places who have cheap lunch menus.

Fresh cold water was offered and our waitress was very warm and welcoming and not phased that we had our babies with us. The atmosphere is fantastic.

We even had dessert which was great, the prices were all very reasonable and this has now become my favourite lunch spot!!

Coffee was alright, and the French Toast was acceptable.

we recently dined at Edinburgh street to celebrate our 40Th wedding anniversary. The owner, management and staff went out of their way to make it a very special occasion for us. The food was excellent and the service was great. This restaurant would definitely be our first choice in Pukekohe for the quality of food, presentation, value for money and friendly service.

Great new fitout did not match the service or food I was expecting. It looks like they tried to mash everything into one place ie. pokies, fine dining, cheap drinks. I am sure they will get better but just at this stage it looks like they ironing out the bugs.

Recently had a dinner for 16 people, ranging in age from 1yr old to 85yrs. We were all catered for really well, especially the younger children. The staff were really great with them. Our waitress was fantastic. The food was enjoyed by us all, I think they have a new Chef and he did a great job. Only small gripe was the wait for our mains, but they were busy and they all came out together so we did understand. Will definitely be heading back.

Lovely food and a job well done with the new decor. Unfortunately service let them down, meals were forgotten, drinks mixed up and table service VERY slow, with no apologies from the young staff. Food will lure me back for a second try tho.
