I have frequented this bar a number of times over the past few years. As I live locally, it’s a handy location and a bar/ restaurant with nice decor….unfortunately that’s where the positives stop. pretty much every time I’ve been there, the staff can’t make it clearer that they’d rather be at home with their feet up. Once it get’s past 9:00pm, they turn the lights up, turn the music, collect glasses with beer still in them, calling last drinks, when there is a licence until midnight. Oh, o have a nice friendly local that welcomed you and knew the meaning of hospitality. I know of friends who ordered some fries and asked for more tomato sauce and got told they’re only allowed to give out one portion of sauce per portion of chips…..C’mon!!!

Turn the lights down to a soft level, play better music, turn the volume up for the rugby when you’re asked. I got told one night that because there were people dining in the restaurant, they couldn’t put the sound on and that most people in the bar weren’t watching the game….but when the crusaders scored moments later, the bar erupted in joy and celebration. give us a local we can visit and enjoy and call ‘our bar’ not some stiff bar with loads of un necessary red tape. After every visit, I’m underwhelmed and keep meaning to write to you to complain about your staff. Its been going on for so long now, I actually wonder if its the ownership??? You’re an embarrassment.

Great venue and atmosphere but don’t order pizza.

Seriously it’s the worse pizza I’ve had, and there would have been value and taste in one brought from a fast food outlet such as Hells pizza or Spagalimis.

Just that the bases are aweful (clearly something they use for bready bar snacks) and the topping is very sparse, with copious amounts of cheese. My margarita pizza had just a slither of tomato and basil… Seriously a slither.

We went there for lunch today……that will NEVER be happening again! A staff member argued with me about having a dish before and id never complained when I had it then. He stated I’d order that dish a couple of months ago (haven’t been there for over six months… now I remember why!)… He continued to argue and when I complained to the manager he dealt with the situation so disgracefully I was even more worked up! I was told to go home and email the owner if I had a complaint???!!! Seriously I asked? I’m here now why can’t it be dealt with? I have emailed the owner as suggested however I’m not expecting a response in a hurry if the service is a reflection on the way this place is run behind the scenes…. Never ever go to this circus if you want a nice night out! I didn’t have to pay for my meal thank goodness!

OMG went here in the weekend for a wedding reception. Never ever again. The staff weren’t very happy to be there, well that’s how they came across to most of us. The food no no no and the price rip off. I ordered the elevate stuffed chicken breast for $38 on their normal menu it’s $28.50????, the chicken was luck warm the veg’s were half cooked. My husband ordered the monteiths golden battered blue cod $38 on their normal menu it’s $26.50 WT.
The blue cod was nice but the price wasn’t for any of it. Also the price of drinks was way out of there. A beer and a small soft drink $11.
Been once and never going again

Went to a wedding reception at Elevate bar on the weekend. The service was absolutely disgusting. The staff seemed like they would rather be somewhere else and were not friendly at all. It took nearly 10 minutes to get 3 small soft drinks and two wines, not the fastest service ever. The meals that were ordered were mediocre at best. I ordered the stuffed chicken Brest which was two chicken tenderloins and approx 6 cube vegetables all for the smashing price of $38. Definitely not value for money, other guests ordered the steak (medium rare) and what arrived on their plates were medium well, it was also supposed to have a mushroom sauce but there was no hint of a mushroom flavor. When the manager was told she just fobbed us off as though we didn’t know what we were talking about. This was the second time I have dined there and definitely would not recommend it, for either a quiet lunch/ dinner or a function. The prices are absolutely ridiculous for what you get in the way of food, drinks and especially service.

First and last visit. Food was ok, service was not. Waitress was unable to tell me anything about the two wines I asked about other than “they’re both popular.” 4 glasses and the bottle are then brought to the table and she walks away, you’d get better service at a BYO.

Average, very average. Had to sit at a bar leaner for the meal as they had set the other tables for breakfast. Lots of staff but you still get slow service. Done it once, wouldn’t go back.

Good evening. If there was a rating lower than poor I would be selecting it. The menu sounds delicious yes? And that was our thoughts too. We orders the Chefs Special (at the extra special elevated price we might add) of Pork Loin stuffed with figs and pistacio nuts on a bed of risotto. Supposedly all mains come with a garden salad. My pork was over cooked and dry. There was no garden salad and the risotto was so busy with clashing flavours it was unpleasant. Not so bad you say? Then lets get onto my partners meal of Lamb Rump. The first meal was returned to the kitchen as their concept of medium rare was not meeting ours. The raw jelly texture of the lamb that arrived was most definately rare. The second lamb dish was not cooked any better and was now accompanied by a gourmet potato that was starting to rot. Of couse this was easy to idenfity by the dark squishy patch and spots but it seems the manager didn’t agree.
If you want a quality meal and the service to match then Elevate is not the resturant for you. We will not be returning and will be suggesting to others that unless you want fries (assuming the potato is ok) Do not eat at Elevate.
