Wow…. Is all I can say…
Can I PLEASE have your muffin recipe…. PLEASE…
Went for morning tea, great service, fantastic food and great coffee…. So we went twice in one morning…
Only down side is a funny layout to the cafe.. but not uncomfortable just a little awkward and small in places
Don’t normally give five stars but you do deserve it… Keep it up and we will be back..

Fantastic service, lovely homely feel atmosphere and coffees were very nice. We had the famous ‘Orewa Pumpkin and Ginger’ muffins which were a meal in themselves! Great value for money. Will definitely come again.

Thank you for a lovely brunch/lunch on Saturday, I was keen to try you guys out again and you did not disappoint.
Took my friend there and we had the most lovely hot chocs, big brekky and corn fritters. Was bustling busy, but the service and clean up afterwards was timely/efficient. Food and drinks both great and very quick to come to our table. Spent a good couple of hours chatting, great environment for catchups with friends/family and also affordable.

Went there for lunch yesterday with 4 girlfriends, nice atmosphere etc. We had french toast, eggs bene and the rest of us all went for corn fritters, bacon and avocado salsa. There was no avocado salsa, and that was the main reason for ordering the fritters. Fritters could have been seasoned more too, but overall were tasty with salad and nicely cooked bacon. Eggs bene was cooked perfectly and no complaints about the french toast. They could have offered more coffees etc and it took 2.5 hours for our plates to be taken away, but overall it was a nice lunch out. Reasonably priced too. But no fair on the avo salsa. I would go back, but it wouldn’t be my fave place in Orewa.

I came here with my family about 6 weeks ago on a Sat morning for brunch and really enjoyed it, the staff were friendly and the kids were welcomed not overlooked like kids often are at cafes, The food was yum and the coffee was really good, we weren’t waiting long for anything either, the decor, ambience and general decor were lovely and we left happy and ready to come back another time, it was maybe a little more expensive than other similar cafes but we are happy to pay a little more when a cafe is ticking all the boxes!- This weekend we were back for a second time, the kids loved their fluffies with marshmallows, my husband enjoyed the soup and I raved to my friends about the pumpkin and ginger muffins (their signature muffin I’m guessing) and another great cappuccino. This is quickly becoming my new favourite coffee spot.
I recently visited emi deli cafe on my way through from Auckland city to Walkworth,
I found the staff to be pleasant and one young European girl stood out to me in particular as having a wonderful attitude and a beautiful disposition. My dining experience was therefore a very pleasant one and i WILL be back!

Dismal!!!
The only reason why I gave it one star is because I cannot award zero stars!
We went there for breakfast. The place looked great and neat. Pricing is average and portion size was acceptable.
The problem came in with the food quality & service. I ordered and Emi Breakfast, which is their version of the Big Breakfast and ordered mine with Well Done eggs. My wife ordered a standard Scrambled Eggs on toast… No rocket science.
When our breakfasts arrived the scrambled eggs were over done and my eggs were runny. The toast was not toasted poroperly but almost just heated!
I called over the waitress and requested that my eggs be Well Done. She could not properly communicate in English (Major Problem). After quite some time a waitress returned with another breakfast with, wait for it, Runny Eggs. Obviously I sent it back. By the time my wife had finished her meal I still had no food. I proceeded to ask for a refund. The owner was in the shop and did not even have the decency to approach me to apologise or enquire what the problem was.
Before we left I finally made the effort to approached the owner and indicate my dissatisfaction with the meal. He meekly apologised and then started to argue with me… How arogant.
In my opinion he should not be in the Hospitality Industry if his kitchen cannot even roll-out a basic breakfast. Avoid this place like the plague!
