There’s something to suite everyone’s palate – which might includes variations on Eye Fillet of Angus Beef, Oven Roasted Chicken Breast, Slow Roasted Pork Belly, Fresh Fish of the Day, Estuary’s Seafood Pasta (with Scallops, prawns, mussels, fresh fish and smoked salmon) and other beautifully prepared New Zealand dishes of European descent.

The setting overlooks the Ahuriri estuary on Napier’s West Shore, with an unrivaled view across the water and to the ranges.
Enjoy a selection from Estuary’s Restaurant’s extensive wine list, as you sit outside on the spacious deck watching the sun set over the ranges.

As a party of five we arrived there unbooked for a celebratory meal.Arriving right on opening time we were courtiously received Nd a special table setup.Nice touch was immediately being served a jug of CHILLED water while we perused the menu and ordered. We had a starter of nice bread and dips followed by the main courses.Wife and I had salmon steaks on a most delicious garlic potatoe mash with honey ginger sauce and veges. Our frinds did steaks which they declared delicious moist and tender.I did think however that the size of my salmon dish could have been a little larger but then I enjoyed it that much that I didnt want it to end.
We skipped the good selection of deserts.I thought that the final bill for $195.00 which included four fruit juices and coffees a tad on the high side but then we were also paying for very good unobtrusive service, the lovely ambience of an uncrowded well maintained restaurent and the unsurpassed view of the estuary.
Yes we will go back!

Went last night with 3 friends. When we first arrived we noticed a large party in the front and thought ‘Oh No!!, we’re going to be waiting for ages to get our meals’.

However while there was little delay in getting our drinks (one of my friends asked for a cocktail which I think the Bar staff had to google), I thought the service was excellent and the meals were well spaced.

I thought the food was lovely, right from the beginning with breads and dips (probably the best pesto I have tasted) to the desserts. 2 of us had the ‘slow cooked pork belly’ and it was melt in the mouth stuff. Just the right amount of fat to give that taste, and the crackling was ‘cracking!!’. The other 2 had the duck and while the meat around the leg was a little dry, the meat on the thigh was very tender.
For dessert I had the citrus and cinnamon apple strudel for dessert and while the sauce was little sweet for me, the citrus seemed to cut through it. The others had the Kiwi Pav, the Crepes, and the Chocolate cake (especially for you die hard choco-holics, far too rich for me but my friend practically licked the plate clean).

Deco was a little dated but it was well laid out and the chairs were sturdy (thank god!) and comfortable.

Would recommend to even people I don’t like it was that good!!

About to go to Estuary’s Restaurant, which we have enjoyed several times in recent years. Have introduced friends to the restaurant and it has quickly become a favourite of theirs too. Always lovely service, beautiful food, fair prices (not ‘cheap’ but less than we pay in many restaurants for the same standard or lower). Looking forward to yet another excellent experience. Thanks Brady and Dawn. You deserve your ever growing success. Dean and Sharon

Booked on Valentines night. 2 couples went and were very impressed with the meal as a whole. Three courses (yes we got to dessert), were of excellent quality and well recommended. I am excited to revisit and work my way through that menu.
Just one minor gripe would be the small toilet facilities, but a great night had.

Every time we take the family to Napier, we make a point of having a meal at Estuary’s. The service is fantastic and the meals divine and the view over the estuary on a good sunset is breathtaking.

Well done guys you seem to out do yourselves every time and the fact that you are a family freindly restaurant also adds extra marks in my book!

My husband and I have been visiting Estuary’s for the past four years. While we have young children and don’t get to go out as much as we would like to, we find ourselves returning to Estuary’s each time. The meals are divine, and the deserts are to die for. If your wanting a special dining experience in a relaxed & friendly atmosphere I highly recommend you try them. Thank you Estuary’s for your obvious passion for food & service.

This is not an inexpensive restaurant. I don’t mind paying for a good meal as I have owned a restaurant myself.

I have been to Estuary’s twice and both times have had embarrassingly small main meals.

I did have three courses. I told the waitress that the $34.00 steak was tiny (she smiled sweetly) and went home hungry.

The food was great, the portions stingy.

I had a nice sandwich when I got home.
