Along with an unsurpassed view of the estuary, a lovely ambience, and friendly yet unobtrusive service, Estuary’s Restaurant provides modern cuisine in an upmarket setting.
Estuary’s has a focus on simple, honest food with a menu that is easy to understand.
The extensive a la carte menu at Estuary’s Restaurant changes with the seasons, plus the specials board evolves daily. There’s something to suite everyone’s palate – which might includes variations on Eye Fillet of Angus Beef, Oven Roasted Chicken Breast, Slow Roasted Pork Belly, Fresh Fish of the Day, Estuary’s Seafood Pasta (with Scallops, prawns, mussels, fresh fish and smoked salmon) and other beautifully prepared New Zealand dishes of European descent.
The setting overlooks the Ahuriri estuary on Napier’s West Shore, with an unrivaled view across the water and to the ranges.
Enjoy a selection from Estuary’s Restaurant’s extensive wine list, as you sit outside on the spacious deck watching the sun set over the ranges.

We skipped the good selection of deserts.I thought that the final bill for $195.00 which included four fruit juices and coffees a tad on the high side but then we were also paying for very good unobtrusive service, the lovely ambience of an uncrowded well maintained restaurent and the unsurpassed view of the estuary.
Yes we will go back!

However while there was little delay in getting our drinks (one of my friends asked for a cocktail which I think the Bar staff had to google), I thought the service was excellent and the meals were well spaced.
I thought the food was lovely, right from the beginning with breads and dips (probably the best pesto I have tasted) to the desserts. 2 of us had the ‘slow cooked pork belly’ and it was melt in the mouth stuff. Just the right amount of fat to give that taste, and the crackling was ‘cracking!!’. The other 2 had the duck and while the meat around the leg was a little dry, the meat on the thigh was very tender.
For dessert I had the citrus and cinnamon apple strudel for dessert and while the sauce was little sweet for me, the citrus seemed to cut through it. The others had the Kiwi Pav, the Crepes, and the Chocolate cake (especially for you die hard choco-holics, far too rich for me but my friend practically licked the plate clean).
Deco was a little dated but it was well laid out and the chairs were sturdy (thank god!) and comfortable.
Would recommend to even people I don’t like it was that good!!

Just one minor gripe would be the small toilet facilities, but a great night had.
Well done guys you seem to out do yourselves every time and the fact that you are a family freindly restaurant also adds extra marks in my book!

I have been to Estuary’s twice and both times have had embarrassingly small main meals.
I did have three courses. I told the waitress that the $34.00 steak was tiny (she smiled sweetly) and went home hungry.
The food was great, the portions stingy.
I had a nice sandwich when I got home.
