Our social club were planning to have a Sunday Roast night at this restaurant on 29 Jan 2012.

When I rang to book the table I specifically asked if they had the Roast on Sunday night and was told that yes, they do.

We were very disappointed to get there and be told that the Roast was off – they had run out.

Fortunately the rest of our party were happy to have other items from the menu, one opting for roast chicken instead. She found the chicken to be less than tasty and the green beans to be incidental to the meal (there were only a few of them and they were tiny) rather than a part of it.

I had a fish pie topped with potato. It was very tasty but had a lot of watery liquid in the bottom – I’m not sure if it was meant to.

The service at the table was fine, but one of our party thought that another member of staff should have stepped in to serve customers at the bar, when the first one rushed off to mop up a spillage.

Very average to say the least. On a second recent trip and a second visit, benefit of the doubt I have now had a second less than good experience with food at this Bar – dont be disappointed. The staff in charge were less than professional on the first round – second time, I did not even bother to complain about the standard of the foods. If they lifted there game it would be great.

Rubbish. Went with kids for a quick bite before the fireworks. Waited 90 minutes and had not been served in spite asking twice where our meals were. Each time was told by waiter he would check and get back to us. He never got back to us, so we paid for drinks and left and got a Subway. Can’t comment on the food as we never got any, however I can comment on the service and this does not exist.
