Fish Boys Silverstream offer Fish n Chips and Tasty Gourmet Burgers and we cook in cottonseed oil.
Our fish is prepared fresh; Filleted then battered/crumbed/or grilled (gluten free) with a topper. There is no pre-cooking involved. Our Gourmet Burger menu offers fillet fish, chicken & beef.
We have been operating since October 2008 and appreciate your suggestions, feedback and constructive criticism, this will only help us to improve our product service to you.

I really can’t recommend Fish Boys in Silverstream. While the staff were very friendly, the size of a scoop of chips was really small and everything just tasted so oily I couldn’t really eat it

I gotta say this who in this world would open a fish n chip shop next to a fish and chip shop. It better be 5 star if you do! well I had to go there to see. I can’t believe these people are even open. This is a couple of average joes trying to be all up market. at least fix your counter! When I pulled up a car was outside full of hoods they gave me the evil’s then one person got out and went to work there! nice greeting!

I’m new to the area so thought I would give Fish Boys a try, as I’ve heard they were good. I found the service friendly and the chips were not to bad but the fish was very greasy and the overall portion size to be quite small. Sorry Fish Boys I was a little disappointed and think I’ll be trying somewhere else next time.

I went to fish boys when it first opened and got a fish boy dinner, it was great really good size and value for money. But on returning a second time it had completely changed! The fish was smaller, waaaaaaaay less chips and i was very dissappointed at paying for a full meal and still being hungry after. If the meals were reliable then i would go back. For now i stick with the shop round the road

excellent service, i have been going her regularly for about 6 months since they have been in the area, great bunch of people love going in there i always feel welcomed =] this is better then yumyum as they are quite rude which isn’t polite… fishboys always have good service and great food i would reccommend them to all.

Sorry – have to disagree. We have always gone to yum yum but tried Fish boys when they opened. I like the idea of being able to order a salad with your F & C’s, but the portion size and quality of the salad was pretty average, also the F & C’s were very greasy and had an odd taste. My family unanimously voted to stick with yum yum, and so we have!

Best Fish n Chips in Upper Hutt better than Yum Yum the service is excellent food was great & they say hello to you which is good because i was a customer at Yum Yum but Fish Boys food is way better. I wouldn’t go anywhere else, Good job guys keep it up.

While impressive that a vegetarian option is available for all burgers the scoop size for the chips is fit for a mouse. For the price the standard is poor and has dropped since opening week. Pity. Also a general consensus of the food being too oily

This has to be the best fish and chip shop I have been to in Upper Hutt. Their chips are the best – always hot and crispy, and I love the lemon pepper salt seasoning they use. Nice fish too. Great service, really friendly staff. I wouldn’t go anywhere else
