I bought a voucher for high tea for 2. I took my 2 sons and we had a cake-stand of food between the three of us. Yummy. Fantastic service, tasty food and really lovely crockery. Such a lovely atmosphere. I can’t wait to take my parents for a visit next time they are here

Took my partner in for a surprise high tea in march, she really enjoyed it, as did I. Great food, great eco-friendly coffee, and friendly service.

On a side note, was just reading up for the phone number and saw lorinda’s review below, thought I better do the Florentine some justice. I remember a very obnoxious table coming in and sitting next to us outside (not sure if lorinda’s table, but the story sounds similar). They were extremely rude to the staff about having to sit outside on a slightly overcast day. They also mishandled the high tea glass stand, and broke the crystal stand on which the food was served, didn’t seem to apologise to the staff or owner, and left.

This is a lovely place, and I would definitely return.

I visited the Florentine for a high tea last week and had a very different experience to the previous reviewer. I thought the staff were really friendly and the atmosphere and presentation of everything was gorgeous. There was so much food we had to take some of the cute little cakes home with us. I would definitely recommend a visit.

A friend organised a surprise high tea here for me, along with several other friends. We were very disappointed. It was a wet, blustery day and our booking saw us seated in the courtyard area which was cold and wet.
The food was nice and the coffee good, although for the amount we were charged I expected more food and something a little bit special.
The girls on the counter were polite but the manager was very snippy and quite rude. We were basically forgotten about and although our table was cleared fairly quickly, we were never offered any extra coffee or tea.
I would not visit again as I feel there are much friendlier, warmer places in Auckland to have high tea for much better value.

Lovely food but just one gripe – how can you charge $4 for a takeaway macaroon!!!! (most places are $2)

I had high tea here, which was nice. The cafe is cute and has character.

The service was really good. For example there were some mosquitoes in the courtyard, so they lit a citronella burner for us!

Good coffee too. A cute local cafe, would definitely go back
