Absolutely love this restaurant. I first went there for my birthday last year and it was awesome. I had the chicken and corn tortilla basket and loved it! It was delicious and so big and filling – I couldn’t finish it all so took the rest home with me. Then a waitress brought out a cake for me with a candle and sung happy birthday. It was so nice. I really enjoyed my birthday meal and have been twice since. I went recently and they were very busy but if the staff were stressed it didn’t show, they were all happy and smiling and checking on everyone to make sure they were okay. I’d go again, love it there!

Fantastic service. Fantastic food. For a very busy restaurant the service is spot on. The Mexican food is superb. Following an incident with chewing gum on the table that stuck to my clothes the staff were so helpful and apologetic. Would definitely return to this restaurant if we are back in Christchurch. Please open one in Auckland!

Easily the best restaurant in town in my opinion. Sadly I didn’t discover this until last Spring, but have been a regular there ever since. The staff are extremely friendly and flexible with orders; they even remembered me the second time I came in and now welcome me by name! The manager is particularly helpful and always goes out of his way to ensure all customers are well catered for and satisfied with their dining experience. The food flavour combinations are absolutely superb and as many times as I try to replicate these tasty Mexican dishes in my own kitchen, I fall disappointingly short of what Flying Burrito Brothers serve up every time! Be sure to try the Chicken Corn Tortilla Salad at some point – it is quite simply amazing and always served with fresh veges and hot off the grill like all their offerings. If you haven’t sampled the offerings at FBB yet, then you are truly missing out on a real treat. Keep up the great work, guys, and I’ll be seeing you again soon☺.

I had never attended this restaurant but on seeing some vouchers on one of the websites I decided to try this one out. In December 2012 I took the family out to enjoy a meal.

We LOVED it.

Sometimes, particularly with children, it’s difficult to find a place where there is something for everybody. Most children’s menus in restaurants consist of the standard and safe, hot dogs, nuggets, burger, fries etc. Well look no further – as far as I’m concerned this restaurant has it all. The atmosphere is good, the food is great, the service was excellent and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The kids menu is varied and more interesting than the standard mentioned above and is good value including corn chips for starters, main, dessert and a drink included in the price – magic!. The kids were raving about it for the next week and asked if we could go back.

So – we have been back a couple of times since. Favourite dish has to be the sizzling fajita platter (awesome, huge, and great value). Only complaint is – my son thinks they should do a half size of it for the kids menu as not only did they love their meals but they tried my fajitas and thought is was awesome, (they have such good taste).

We have enjoyed all our meals there – on my husbands birthday they presented us with a complimentary dessert (nice touch at the end).

If your looking for a great meal and good time out whether for a group, family or a couple, then book in here because I don’t think you will be disappointed – OH !!! – the margarita’s
are to die for.

Been here over 15 times now, probably my favourite restaurant in Christchurch. Most of the time i get the Sizzling fajita platter which is well worth the money and is capable of filling the hungriest person out!!!! Great service and never had to wait to long for a meal. the bar is also great and has a wide selection of drinks at a reasonable price. They have a new out door dinning section now which is sweet. One of the best thing is if you like your food hot like me there is about 4 – 5 different hots sauces on each table which is awsome!! only thing would be that this place get packed in the weekends and if you dont book you could be waiting around 1 hour for a table, but it is worth the wait. 5 Stars

We have been to this restaurant twice – the first time encouraged by a treat Me/One day voucher. I love food beautifully presented and the colours in our meals were gorgeous and the taste matched. This reminded me of our time in San Diego – no I am not dropping names but we loved the Mexican food there. I don’t mind if food is not totally authentic if it is really good and the price is reasonable. I hate being ripped off. Yes I will happily keep going there

We have been to this place a few times and have never been dissappointed, the staff are really friendly, the food is amazing, some people moan and whinge about waiting for food, good food takes time and is worth the wait!!! If your in hurry get a take away. We went there for lunch for my partners 50th and they gave us a free cake with Happy Birthday written on the plate for dessert and didn’t charge us for our drinks and gave us a voucher to use the next visit. We have never had this sort of customer service anywhere before and the funny thing is we would have been more than happy to pay as it was all really lovely. I can’t rave enough about this place and the staff.

The Chicken Tortilla I had was absolutely amazing and it was nice how I could assemble my own wraps. The food was great and the Strawberry and Peach Margarita we had was amazing but I don’t think it contained much alcohol since I had about 4 small glasses but I wasn’t tipsy. Still, very delicious meals and great for a girl’s night out!

As my wife is Mexican, I thought it would be a great idea to go there for a birthday lunch with 15 friends including their children. When I made the booking I was told it would be no problem, however when we arrived they sat us in a part of the restaurant (opposite the kitchen) where the tables were set out in a very awkward fashion which meant that the group had to be split in two and sit separately from each other!?! Not ideal for a birthday celebration where you obviously expect everyone to sit together! We were quite disappointed with the arrangement given that we’d been squeezed into a very confined corner of the restaurant and yet the bigger more spacious area of the restaurant was set aside for single tables. We spent a lot of time getting up and moving around (with kids prams etc) and trying to rearrange the tables in order to get everyone to sit together but it just didn’t quite work and it spoiled the occasion for us! Had they planned to have us on the other side in the more spacious part of the restaurant it wouldn’t have been an issue, although apparently there are some legitimate reasons why they do this. If however I was judging them on their quality of food alone then I would give them 4 out of 5 stars! The food was really good! It wasn’t necessarily genuine authentic Mexican as they claim – my wife is from Mexico, so she’s knows what’s authentic Mexican food or not – but even she was impressed by the food! In fact a small number of the party were elderly people who tastes are somewhat resistant to the misconstrued concept of Mexican food being always just ‘hot and spicy’ – only to be pleasantly surprised by the delicious tasty food they had ordered.

Additional note: After contacting the restaurant about the issue with the table arrangement, it seems the issue came down to a lack of communication when the booking was made. To their credit, I am a lot happier with the manager’s explanation Moreof events and the arrangement made to resolve the issue.
