A great place, relaxed with friendly staff and lots of sport! Went in for the 2 for one Monday meals, food was great, very large portions with lovely coffee! One warning though – don’t go for dinner on a weekend, this place can get extremely busy.

I totally agree with monica who put the comments under me.
It was much better experience than I imagined it would be.Both of us orderd the ribeye steak with bones. Huge portion, top meat quality, value of the money, great service from a bar. if the sauce can be more seasoned and the salad gets more color , the meal will be perfect. We will be back.

I am not a fan of pub meals or sports bars either but my partner and I went in to watch a Phoenix away game and decided to use an entertainment meal voucher. We were seated in a booth promptly and i have to say the service was fantastic, even with the knowledge we were using a voucher. I couldnt decide on a main so went with the reccomendation from the waitress that the chilli prawn linguine was good…and it truely was. My partner enjoyed his huge burger meal too. I took the time to thank the waitress for her service and to compliment the chef as was most impressed. Whilst it is not an intimate or relaxed dining experience as that is not the purpose of this restaurant ( especially with massive LCD screens all over the place) it does however have have an atmosphere not like other sports bars I have been in that have felt tacky or cheap. I would def go and eat there again.

Alright food and service.

Makes for a good cheap lunch, but not too filling. Sometimes have to buy two lunch specials to make up one normal sized meal

Just mediocre, we went there for a $10 lunch and left not too impressed. I had the Thai beef salad – nice but not $10 worth of food, still hungry when we left. My husbands burger was average too, a little on the small side and certainly not worth $10, could have had a nicer burger at McD’s and alot cheaper. Not the best $10 lunch we have had.

I’ve never been much of a barfly -particularly “sports bars”, but a friend an I are hardcore NBA fans, and before we watched all the games via computer, we only had the option of watching them at a bar.

Enter 4 Kings. If you wanna watch sports at a bar – this enormous multiplex is THE ONLY place to be. 70 Plasma screens upstairs and down, staffed by friendly people and with plenty of secluded priavte booths, this place really is a cut above your average sports bar.

The sheer amount of screens and different sections of the bar means you can grab your own booth (booths have not one but 2 plasma TVs), and request the staff to put on what you’re after. The settings are plush, and in your own booth you get a feeling of privacy and comfort, free to enjoy a game, converse and drink a cold beer. Though i mostly watch my NBA via computer now, if i have to head to any bar in the city to catch it, this is the place. Definitely worth checking out.

Bought a voucher deal – two mains and two drinks for $30 – and used it on a Thursday night. After being shown to our table we mentioned to our friendly waiter (who I think may have been one of the owners) that we had the voucher on us – no problems. Drinks arrived promptly. Watched one of the many screens will we waited for our order, I think we counted over twenty of them. It is a sports bar after all.. Ordered a cheese burger and a chicken burger and they were A-MAZING! Huge, loaded with fillings and delicious! My mince patty was sublime. How do they do it? I hear the chicken was brillo too. The side of chips was huge and they were good. Chunky and crunchy outers. Any place that gives you your own bottle of sauce gets an extra star from me. The burger buns had been buttered which gave the whole burger that little something extra. The wait staff remained friendly and attentive throughout – good on them, as we were getting a ‘free’ meal. Handed the voucher over at the end and that was it – nothing extra to pay.
Have had a few cheese burgers now from Four Kings and they have got to be the BEST cheese burgers in Wellys. Damn good chips too!

The steaks here are the best. My wife actually complimented the chef. She hardly ever eats red meat but admits this was fantastic, the best she’d ever had. I know it’s just a steak and should be done by most places to a good standard but this was special. The service is good but could do with some work. But the steaks. I salivate as I write this.

my husband and i have always loved going to the four kings bar when visiting wellington. our last trip we decided to dine at the restaurant which had a 2 for 1 steak night. they had a good range of steaks. they were awesome, beautifully cooked, and delightfully tender, and so many choices to have with it. staff were attentive and courteus. my only criticism is the range of wines is not extensive enough. all said a great experience and will definitely go again

My partner and I were looking for a restaurant that served steak for her birthday dinner (as this was one of my partner’s birthday food requests) and ideally in the gold section of the Entertainment Book so we could make use of it.
The night before, we narrowed it down to Four Kings or The Establishment based on the menu in the EB. So after work yesterday we headed down to Dixon St. to try Four Kings, which was described as a “multi-level sport-themed restaurant & bar….the staff are dedicated to providing a superior guest experience….” in the EB.
So we walked in and there was no one at the door or any of the staff even readily visible and after looking there was 1 person behind the bar serving 2 people beers. We walked closer to the bar and waited for her to ask if we needed anything but she did not even check on us rather was more bent on assisting customers ordering a beer each. We waited a minute more and decided to just leave. Heck if they’re not gonna help outright we’re not going to get any of that “superior guest experience.”
