This is one our our regular haunts now.
The staff are always friendly and the service is prompt. They serve wicked coffee and the food we’ve had has always been good.
And the icing on the cake for us is that our dogs are always welcome and we can sit outside with them under cover in any weather. Having tie-up points is great. We also really appreciate that staff will bring out a bowl of water for the dogs without us ever having to ask.

We had breakfast at Garage and were very disappointed with the quality. The eggs benedict was served with half toasted muffins that quickly went soggy on the untoasted (bottom) half and the hollandaise sauce was served cold. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection but the bacon was tasteless. The big breakfast only had one flavour, as if it had all been cooked together. The fried eggs were overcooked on the bottom and undercooked on top. Overall it was disappointing bland. We will not be back, nor will we be recommending it.

We are visiting this cafe weekly now as it serves great coffee and the staff are very friendly. It has a nice outdoor area to sit in and a playhouse for the kids. There are also toys inside for kids and magazines and the daily paper. Lots of yummy food on the menu and the smoothies are great. They also provide a place to tie up your dog outside and a water bowl.

Great new cafe in Upper Hutt! very few in this area so very welcome to find a good one. This place is brand new and located at the Brendan Foot service centre opposite Trentham Memorial Park. Really nice coffee from “Ripe”, coffee locally roasted in Petone. Very nice food too. I had the Portabello mushroom and black pudding stack. It was served on good quality bread with fresh tomato and a nice beetroot relish and some aioli. Really good flavours that complimented each other. My friend had the Chicken pie, nice pastry and filling. Can’t wait to get back to try more of the menu, which I believe is all made on site. Nice friendly staff, good reading material and lots of outdoor seating for nice days.Right opposite the park so you can go for a stroll after.
