My partner and I have done a bit of a restaurant crawl around the Hutt City as were over the central city bustle.
Tried Ginjis here in the Hutt, have to say is alot better than the Wellington one ! But service was the only let down.
We were pretty much left to seat ourselves overall great experience for what you pay.

If you like to experiment with food this is the place to go.
We went there for dinner and it was fantastic. There were too many yummy choices to eat in one sitting (didn’t have room for dessert). Being able to choose from a selection of meats and vegetables, and to fully customise your sauce makes for a wonderful dining experience. Delivering your chosen dish to the chef and watching him cook it on the spot really adds to the ambience. The staff were friendly, attentive and humble.

Went there with my boyfriend tonight. Lots of selection you can pick and eat for $25.90 with soup, salad, stir fry, pancake and icecream (I didn’t have the dessert cos i m so full. Will definitely go back when i m super hungry….

This Mongolian BBQ Restaurant was better than the one at Magaribank St in town

My experience here was better than I thought it would be. The food was great fresh,flavorful and very affordable… Excellency!

Upon entering Ginjis and seeing around 25 people lined up with overflowing plates of food I wish I had turned around and left.

I would recommend this to someone who is looking for quantity (you can go up and help yourself as many times as you like) over quality. Once you have selected your food you add your own sauces,however these seemed to be watered down and most had run out leaving little selection. There is no atomosphere and the service lacks any kind of personal touch.

Not going to hurry back.

My family and I have eaten at this restaurant several times and our company has had our staff xmas lunch here two years running. The food is excellent. You put whatever you want from the huge selection of fresh cut up meats and seafood, veg etc in a bowl, add the sauce you want also a huge selection etc and they fry it then and there. As it is buffet style, you can go up several times if you want…. I always forget to leave space for the pancake and ice cream
