A friend told me about the drinks sold at Gloria Jean’s and so I decided to try it for the first time. I walked up to the counter and was immediately greeted by a smiling and friendly girl. She asked me how I was and how she could help me, I told her it was my first time at Gloria Jean’s. She responded positively and asked if I liked my coffee sweet or not sweet (I like mine sweet)she went on to describe some of the different specialty drinks they have on offer. It was difficult to choose as they all sounded so good, I eventually decided on an Irish nut creme with cream on top. The food looked fabulous and fresh and I bought a savoury scone (which the girl had told me was baked fresh that morning). After money was exchanged, she handed me a coffee card and clipped it a few extra times for me as it was my first visit, this made me feel great. She then indicated to the end of the bench where I could collect my coffee. There were two other staff members making my drink, both friendly. The barista finished my drink complete with cream and sprinkles and it looked delicious…and oh boy what a treat!! The coffee was like a party in my mouth and the drink and scone was worth every cent I paid. I highly recommend this little shop, the friendly service and great tasting products will make me go back again and again.
