Probably one of the worst if it is not the worst restaurant I have been to in service wise. Staffs including the owner lady were rude. Yum cha is good but over priced. The dinner meals are overpriced but not a good value for money.
To sum up, even though the price for the food is set somewhat as a fine dining restaurant range, the service is probably worse than a takeaway shop.

My family and I, 2 adults and 2 young ladies, arrived to have a taste of Chinese cooking. we asked the waitress what would be best to have and she recommended a dim sim platter. Drinks were average, nothing great. The food was very good but took at least 30mins to arrive. Would not go there again though.

Excellent food, best asian in Dunedin. Horrible service though – the waitress sat us at a table while she was on the phone and the food was about a 30 minute wait for 2 people while we were the only ones there

Did you eat at this restaurant? Have an opinion to share?

As this was a large crowd of approximately 18 people, we required two large, round tables to seat us all. This was not a problem as the tables had been moved together prior to arrival.
I was surprised to find a lot of highly authentic meals on this menu, and was intrigued by them. As two of our group were Asian, they ordered for us, in fluent Chinese. We continued talking while they ordered.
It took approximately 25-30 minutes for the first plate of food to arrive, but this was ok as the restaurant was fairly busy. We ate many different dishes such as dim sims, dumplings with various fillings, wantons, etc.. Even a sticky chicken rice served as a parcel in a banana leaf!!
The evening was great and filled with a lot of laughs. The meals I thought were very expensive (it worked out to $36 per person) but we did get a fair amount of food for our money. I even filled up a doggy-bag container to take home. We wanted to take a group photo outside of the restaurant, and the staff were very helpful as they took a photo with all of us in it.
I recommend this restaurant, especially the sticky chicken rice in banana leaf, and also the pork and rhubarb steamed dumplings. I will definitely be eating here again.
