Their prawn curry is one of our favourites, and I love dipping my chips into it. They make good alround fish and chips and chinese food, highly recommend this place. My son loves their shoe string frys. Just ignore the deco.

We’ve been eating regularly from here for the past 5 years and became earthquake refugees from ChCh CBD since 22 February 2011 in Rolleston. We strongly support the remarks of the last posting as the food is very good, the service is very prompt and as we eat from the Golden Swan every couple of weeks it speaks for it self.

We have no hesitation in recommending others to go there.

By the way we are hoteliers so we would not give a reference if it were not correct.

Having lived in Rolleston for seven years,I recall only once where my order was not ready in time that they stated,due to the fact that there were so many orders at that time, other than that I have had no problems.

The place is very popular within the Selwyn District,and at times this place gets very busy, I have not yet met anyone who has had the same experience as the other review states.
As for the rude lady that takes the orders, get over yourself she is not rude, as well as the guy with a staring problem, What staring problem?….. Again get over yourself, im sure everyone who reads this can see that your the one with the problem.

Having lived in Auckland for 20 years before hand, with the countless Chinese takeaways around every corner(literally lol), I have to say that this place has the best chips and noodles that I have ever had from any takeaway. Their egg foo young is very nice, but i must say that their wong tongs are quite dry and bitter, dont buy them lol.

I know first impressions last but please…. To say those things about the staff that work there when you have only been there twice, come on… All I have to say is …….Get over yourself.

The reason why Im psoting this is because I was looking for the phone number to this place as I have lost it. I then started reading the first review, and just couldnt help myself but reply and do some justice to this takeaway.

if you want good, fast Chinese takeaway and friendly service… do not go here!!!

firstly: the service is just terrible the lady that takes the orders is rude, the man cooking has a steering problem esp with female customers.

second: the food is very avarage and the prices are crazy high (being the only Chinese place in rolleston helps i guess)

thirdly: if you want to wait 45min for 3 scoops of chips (which they said would be 10mins, i gave them 15mins came back, no chips they had forgot the order, but still had to wait another half an hour!!!) and receive no apology then this is the place for you..

have been there twice once for Chinese and once for chips but never ever again
