We ate at Gorgeous on Friday 2nd September 2011. We were in AKD for the weekend and were taking advantage of a Grab One voucher I’d bought ( excellent deal : 2 pizzas, salad, cheesecake and 2 glasses of wine for $39!!).
I emailed ahead to book a table and we were a little late when we arrived – said 5.15 but it was 5.30pm. We were on the minutes as we had to be out for 7pm but I needn’t have worried….

The service was excellent. The pizzas were divine and we were served within 10 minutes. All we had to do was eat and enjoy, which we really did.

Thanks Gorgeous. Your pizzas truly are Gorgeous and when we are in the city again we’ll come and pay you another visit.

We walked in around 8pm on a Saturday night, were seated, ordered drinks (which arrived quickly), placed our order for 2 regular pizzas. Then we waited & waited. Around 8:45 we decided to turn our order into a takeout & it wasn’t until 9pm that the pizzas were ready albeit one was cold as it waited on the bench until the other one was ready. By the way, the pizza bar itself had virtually no dine in customers. So we took home one not totally cooked pizza (stuck to the box) and one cold pizza. The waitress did apologise for the wait, she said this was due to the rugby which meant they were too busy with takeout orders. She gave us a coupon for a free pizza but quite frankly I don’t think we’ll bother using it. Disappointing evening.

Most I’ve enjoyed eating pizza for ages. It is quite a different style to what I’m used to. We ate 3 large between four of us and it was perfect. Thin bases and fresh ingredients meant we could eat heaps and not be left feeling ill.

We enjoyed our pizza and salad on our visit.

The restaurant is new with a mix of standard seating, a long banquet table and taller bar style tables. They do serve their pizza’s half and half which lets you try their tasty range on the menu. The pizza, while it did not have a lot of topping was very tasty. The Rocket Salad was particularly good.

Service was friendly and engaging.
