One Review for The Grill Restaurant

We ate at The Grill when we stayed at the Duxton a couple of weekends ago.
While the accommodations were far from adequate, The Grill was a pleasant surprise.
In short, the food itself was superb. All four of us pronounced the food superior to any we had tasted recently in Auckland, and we thoroughly enjoyed it all.
We would have liked a little quiet music to add some atmosphere (which was missing completely), but even this was forgivable when we were presented with our food. It really could not be faulted by any of us. For me, the Duck was superb.
The wait staff were friendly and attentive, and we never felt crowded or lacking attention.
Thank you for being the one shining light in our Duxton Experience. While everything else we experienced at the hotel was mediocre to poor, the chef at the Duxton made this a memorable weekend.
