Our waitress did not seem super experienced, but was friendly and respectful and had a good sense of humour, so the service overall felt really good.
I had the steak, and it was cooked to perfection. I liked that it was served on a large square plate on its own, with the sides on a separate small rectangular plate, again – great presentation of food as with the restaurant overall.
The sides and béarnaise sauce were nothing special, apart from the beautifully roasted vine ripened tomatoes (where did they get those!?!)
Also tried the tiger prawns – delicious! really good.
The dips that came with the bread were a little bland, though again presentation was so lovely that they were enjoyable anyway, breadsticks brought in a glass with a twig of rosemary. Lovely focaccia.
Overall, a very good meal and an enjoyable evening.

We asked if the dessert choc plate would be enough for 2. Waitress checked and said yes, so ordered that and a coffee. Got the coffee but after about 40 minutes no dessert. Asked about this and waitress had thought I just wanted coffee.
They did give me the coffee for no charge which was a nice touch.
As another reviewer said, spotless dining area and food presented well. I had fish parcel which was nice enough but nothing to rave about.

We were the only ones in the restaurant. Staff were nice and attentive, but the kitchen took so long to bring our food out.
As the only diners in the restaurant, and a staff of 3 behind the kitchen (hello! open kitchen!!), I would have thought our meal would come out a lot faster than it did. We waited 25 minutes for some bland, overcooked steamed fish parcel and a lamb pilaf dish that tasted like it came straight from the freezer aisle of New World.
I know these guys make a better buffet breakfast for their guests (I’ve actually been here a couple of times as a guest of a hotel guest for breakfast and their buffet isn’t bad; it’s not spectacular, but it’s edible and filling).
Y’all can do better than this.

The Chorizo burger was pretty average, patty was rather dry and not to my taste, dessert was very good however.
Partner had the fish.. again.. pretty average, nothing special.. however at the same time nothing terrible .. deep fried fish + salad + 3 wedges, she did enjoy the dessert thou.
Table service was great and the staff were very attentive.
HOWEVER.. the kitchen took a long time to get the food out (Especially considering the place was empty) and you could hear the people in the kitchen chatting about their weekend/swearing rather loud which kinda killed a good part of the experience
I am a bit torn on how to rate the grill… on one hand the food was pretty average and nothing special..however it was cheap as part of the entire wellington on a plate special..
But the kitchen noise was a big rate down here
Table Service 5/5
Food 3.5/5
Ambiance 1/5
Would I go here again and recommend this place to others based on this dining experience ?? No
Ask for your eggs at the counter and they will make them to order.
The team serving were all friendly.
If Wellington had better weather I would suggest a walk down the road for better options.
