looks like the place was recently renovated. It has a nice casual atmosphere making it perfect for families, people travelling on business or people who just like a casual setting.
Although some of the staff were quite new the service was excellent.
The huge burgers were delicious and perfectly cooked without the huge price.
The banana split was fresh and came with variety of fresh, crisp fruit, very impressive for a Tuesday!
At walking distance from the motels along Ulster st they are perfectly located for visitors to beautiful Hamilton.
I would advise MenuMania to remove some of the older reviews because this place has definitely changed for the better.

Grillers advertised a lunch special, presumably to compete with the rest of central Hamilton restaurants’ specials. The partner and I entered, and there were only three cheap lunch options of which to choose from. We ordered our meals, both of which were variants of a salad, and sat down. There were only two other tables occupied. We ordered coffees, which were beyond bad. Both the partner and I had to send ours back. The food was not good in the slightest. The service was ok, although there were only one waiter who had to do cash handling, coffees, and waiting. We will not be back!

Very disappointed after dining at Grillers this evening. Rude and Inexperienced staff plus very cold food = unhappy customers! After asking for 2 out of the 6 meals that arrived at our table to be re-heated, they arrived back at our table slightly more microwaved, but still cold in the centre. The waitress did not deal well with the situation and not once did we see any of the staff smiling, also evil stares were given to our table from the chef, who was obviously not happy that we had asked for meals to be reheated. While we were there, they played an interesting mix of music ranging from eminem (rap) to offspring (punk) and flow rider (pop), i mean I am all for casual atmosphere, but this was not appropriate for evening dining. Will not be returning.

well food was good but service was shocking saw a G.I.Joe with hands in soldier position and that’s it. The girl who seat us at table disappeared when i saw a glimpse of here she was poring wine after 5 min saw her again she was drinking it WOW what a staff DRINKING WHILE working…….Meat patty was bit cold in center Thx

We dined at Grillers on 16/09/11 before the RWC2011 All Black vs Japan game, and although we were restricted to burgers to free up their table quickly, and the hostess was not customer focused, the food however was fast and our waitress tried hard to please. We then dined on 18/09/11 before the Samoa vs Wales game, and the quality of food was poor (we should have stuck to the burger menu) and we had to wait 1hr 45min for our meals – after complaining after 1hr 15mins we still did not receive our meals for another 30minutes, while at least 4 tables we arrived before had eaten and were leaving. The moral is if you do not say you are in a hurry then the service and food is a shambles. Don’t waste your money people, there are far better restaurants eg. Helm across the road with better service and a lot better food. FAIL Grillers!!

we dined here on Saturday 30/04/2011 and we were very disappointed. The service was good but the food was very poor! we ordered the garlic bread to start and we both had steak meals to follow, the garlic bread was cold and not toasted enough but we let that pass as it was only bread, the steaks followed and both were cooked as we ordered but they were cold, tasteless and the salad that came with the meal had no dressing. I asked the waitress why my steak was cold if it just came off the grill? to which she answered she didn’t know but would ask the chef, she came back to me and said that the chefs were too busy but could get them to make me a new one and wouldn’t be charged for my meal. I told her I didn’t want to wait and that since I didn’t have to pay that it would be ok ( i never send anything back because I have heard too many stories about what happens in kitchens ) so we finish our meal and go to pay where we are told that they would not charge us for my drink because our meals were cold! hang on didn’t the waitress just tell me I didn’t have to pay for the meal? wow a free drink for 2 cold streaks hmmm not happy, apparently they were busy and thats why our steaks were cold, this would only happen if the meals sat too long, this didn’t happen as we saw our meals as the came up and the waitress served them to us very quickly. we have no problem with service but I don’t understand how a steak comes off a grill cold!!! we will not go back

Need to do something about service times, have resorted to ordering ahead via phone so we don’t have to wait 40 mintues for a basic lunch … not good. The food is nice, but a menu change would be good!

Love this restraunt! always has flawless food, service and good pricing. I really like that you dont feel asthough you have to dress really flashy either. Keep up the awsome work Grillers

Very good meals for the price and style of food. Clean and tidy dining room and toilets. Wait staff competent, but could be a bit more professional. Recommended for lunch or casual dinner.

Dined here on Saturday 6/11/2010 with my friend for her 3oth. WOW fantastic service, beautiful meal. We could find no fault. I enjoyed it so much am going again this evening with hubby and our teens to celebrate them passing their exams.

WELL DONE STAFF FROM GRILLERS
