Surprisingly good! Unassuming little place, reminds me of Vietnamese Restaurants in Canada where lack of Viet ingredients did not deter from amazing food. Of course, I had to try the Pho, it’s not authentic, but very tasty nevertheless, perhaps a little bit too much star anise or cinnamon, but it went down well in the cold weather of Queenstown. As another reviewer has commented, the fried rice is very good, the flavours are another level from the typical Chinese fried rice.

BTW, notice another reviewer mentioned the Pho didn’t have coriander, it’s not supposed to, Pho in Vietnam is served with sprouts and viet basil, I didn’t mind the italian basil that accompanied the Pho, not as strong, but sweeter.

I was thrilled to see Queenstown had a Vietnamese restaurant, especially since it replaced the underwhelming and overpriced Korean place before it. I ordered a Pho Bo, which is about as basic a Vietnamese dish as one can find. It was awful. Just a million miles away from what Pho Bo should taste like (there wasn’t even coriander in it!!). The reason was soon apparent.. there’s not a Vietnamese soul in the place, it’s run by Koreans.. who seem to be under the misapprehension that as long as it looks like Vietnamese food, it’s okay to advertise it as such.
And while Queenstown is known for overpricing, these guys take it to a new level. $18.50 for a meal that is $9 in Auckland (and actually tastes like what it is)

This is a new Rest. in town and the first Vietnamese and the dishes are not 100% authentic were tasty and they still have a lot to learn. Hopefully in time they will get better. I hope to try it again in say 6mths to see what they have learnt. Good Luck

Wow, wow, wow. Amazing tastes for such an unassuming little restaurant. We (family of 4) ordered a variety of dishes, but of course included Vietnamese essentials like the rice paper rolls, pho, and beef salad. The meals whilst aren’t 100% authentic are surprisingly tasty and has just enough fusion of local ingredients and traditional vietnamese flavours to really make this a 6 out of 5 experience. We are determined to come back to QT in the near future to try more of their dishes. The fried rice is outstanding with such a refreshing combination of flavours and aroma for what is a staple asian dish, we all wanted to order a second. Just love the way aromatics, acidity, sweetness and traditional viet flavours are presented, knockout!

The prices are surprisingly good with our party averaging $40.00/person for a three course meal with a drink each.

I recommend party of two or more share meals so that more dishes could be sampled.

There is only one area of potential improvement and that is a larger desert menu, three is just not enough to compliment the mains.
