I eat there every time I’m in Mangonui (about once every 3 weeks). The food is so much better than the stuff at the more “famous” shop along the waterfront. The place is always immaculately clean and wel presented. You can tell it’s the best because it’s where the locals eat, leave the gullible tourists for the other place

Accidentally went to this shop when I’d meant to go to the one around the corner – and glad I did!!

Whilst the portion of chips was small they were very tasty and perfectly cooked. The fish was out of this world, was very tasty and perfectly cooked, with no grease to speak of.

I’m sad to see the business is up for sale as if it were better known it would become THE spot to stop at when in Mongonui for fish & chips. I only hope the new owners maintain the same high standards.
