Cheapest four course meal in Auckland! $6 will get you a lentil soup, a watery vegetable curry on rice, pakora with chutney (more colour than flavour, I’m afraid) and a dessert. Bland but filling meal, would be exactly what I’d go for if I were feeling unwell.

I’m always happy when I go there and the girls are great! Music makes me feel good and they use my favourite hot sauce on request.

It is so nice to hear that this restaurant is still producing excellent food. I had a few meals there in 2007. I still remember the vegetarian lasagne. Man I wish I had the recipe. Bless you for the wonderful food. These are people who care for people.

At $5.00 it makes for an exceptional feed! Not only is it vegeterian but it’s also got NO egg and NO onion or garlic either. A++++ service. It is child friendly (and animal friendly!)literally! meaning it’s vegeterian. Not only is the environment peaceful and tranquil but the food is exceptional. They combine western dishes with Indian to put a surprising twist to things. Like for example halwa with custard (not one of my personal favourites but definitly yummy!) It fills up the stomach and provides nourishment for the soul as the food in Hare Krishna is prasad (meaning it’s offered to deitis before you eat it!) so in other words “spiritual food” A great feed and wonderful service! So far every review in MenuMania seems to favour Hare Krishna Food for Life, see for yourself!

For $6 (student discount price) you get a massive plate of assorted goodies, all delicious and healthy vegetarian. It’s not complicated or fancy, just a great meal for a cheap price.
