One of my favourite spots for a casual evening bite. Very cute and cosy little restaurant with a good vibe. Can be a little cramped and noisy but you’ve just got to pick your moment. Generous servings as is always the case with Mexican. I prefer smaller dishes and tasting lots of things (and not getting overly full) so for those like me, I would recommend going for the tacos accompanied by guacamole/bean dip/cheese dip/ceviche and chips. The tacos are $5 or $6 each so you can get just the right amount and end up with quite a cheap meal and not feel stuffed. Great margaritas too! Would be a cute date option with a stroll along the beach afterwards.

Great menu choices, food is fresh and delicious! Quesadillas are delicious, I really enjoyed the Tostada Salad (I chose the beef option) – large size meal. Apparently the Mexican Duckling was superb. Small casual Mexican themed restaurant. Was very busy, so I recommend booking – people were being turned away at the door.

my son and I visited on a whim and it was packed. We were able to get a seat right by the door and although that wasn’t the best position as it was drafty, we were hungry and grateful to have anywhere at all.
The staff did their best to shut the door after people came in/went out and fortunately, it wasn’t too cold a night.
Service was good considering place was full.
We started with an avocado dip with salsa and corn chips – disappointing as the avocado hadn’t been mixed enough and was too lumpy rather than smooth. Neither the dip nor the salsa was enough to go round .. the corn chips appeared to have been deep fried and were very very hard .
Both mains were good so on balance, I’d go back again but wouldn’t order the avocado/salsa/corn chips… That just wasn’t up to scratch sorry.

Restaurant was a little cramped and the girl serving us nearly dropped the meals twice, but apart from that mains where all good nothing to rave about, put the pudding! OMG best pudding ever!

I would describe the food here as bazaar, but not in a good way. The service was pleasant, but average. The tacos were warmish and the table was wobbly. Our plates were filthy and the food presentation leaves a lot to be desired. Great frozen margaritas though.

Before my partner and I had even finished our meal we were saying to each other how we couldn’t wait to come back to this restaurant. Now that’s gotta say something! We absolutely loved it. Excellent food, great atmosphere and service.

We found this restaurant by accident and it has become our favourite. The atmosphere is awesome with the hand made water jugs and cosy booths. Dave is an awesome chef with the meals always delicious and good value for money.

I have been here a number of times and always found the food fantastic, as well as the great service/ nice and friendly. Nice cosy booths and buckets of corona make for a fun evening. I am vege and enjoy the fish enchilladas etc and my husband loves the pork dish. Well established reputation as the owners of another successful eatery in Sumner.
