One Review for Holiday Inn Chinese Takeaways

Dannevirke is not blessed with a goodly number of cafes especially in the evening but the Holiday Inn is one that is open most of the day.
This is a chinese takeaway place with a good selection on their blackboard menu.Attached is a restaurent with a large varied menu of mostly chinese with a few european dishes mostly steak all reasonably priced with mains around the $11 to $12 mark.
I have dined in the restaurent several times with my fav dish which is Curry steak on rice while my wife enjoys their steaks.Servings are generous with the food nicely cooked and served. It is a puzzle that the place is always mostly empty as the food is good as are the surroundings with friendly staff.
Takeaways are fine with the exception of the burgers which are disappointing.I had a cheeseburger yesterday and the cheese was so small and tasteless I could not tell it was there. The solid round pattie was one of those mass produced bought in things which had the consistency and taste of a piece of leather and seemed stale..This is a shame as the rest of the food is ok.With Maccas about to start up shortly an improvement is clearly needed in the burger department soon.I can recommend the restaurent and takeaways but not the burgers.
