We went with some reservations. We used to take a growing family there years ago – they loved it, but the adult stomach was less tolerant. Things have changed.
The service was always very good, but we were most pleased with the difference, both in ambience and in food offerings, preparation and taste. We took senior portions and the price and size was perfect.
The rump steak was done exactly as ordered; the roast was fulsome with the vegetables being a particular feature.
The waitress-in-training was well mentored by her minder and we left with the intention to return.

I must admit having visited this week with some trepidation, having found this restaurant quite mediochre when I last went there a year or two ago. On this occasion, I find the staff friendly, cheerful and efficient; the food plentiful, flavoursome and well presented. I thought the pricing was very reasonable, too, even if I hadn’t taken advantage of the special seniors’ menu. Anyone who isn’t satisfied with Cobb & Co has had a quite different experience to what I had this time around.

Had not enjoyed previous visits, a few years ago. We had my son and his two boys 2 & 1 with us. The service throughout the meal was attentive & helpful. I thought the children got a great deal and they obviously enjoyed their meals. The adults felt their meals were good value, particularly as my wife and I were on senior’s rates. We had steaks cooked very much to our requirements. The Homestead is certainly well equipped to handle children, but doing a good job for the adults as well.

We went recently for the obligatory kids birthday meal and guess what?! They had a WAY better selection for adults than the last time I went. Instead of everything being deep fried goodness, there were grilled, steamed and baked items on offer. I was really impressed and will certainly go back again. Oh, I had the scallops and they were very nice.
I KNOW that it is child friendly and its not a leading light in the dining stakes but…. If you want these delights then experience
Orange Roughy cooked until its as dry as a piece of old leather complete with slapped on the plate spoonful of mashed potato
A mains order ” FORGOTTEN !!!!”
An entree that wasnt delivered and was then whisked from another diner poised with cutlery at the ready
Drinks that had to be reordered
Slap dash plating
Crappy junk style kids meals
No waiting staff so we had to go looking
If thats your eating style and you want to pay for it then GO !!! COBB AND CO !!!
We wont be returning kids or no kids.

Will definitely not go back here again after last nights horrible meal!Front of house excellent.Drinks waiter hopeless, never came near us after first drink.Seafood cocktail was dry with limp lettuce; steak overcooked and tough;the ‘delicious roast pork’ was in fact disgusting processed roll sliced into 2 pieces and tasted liked hot luncheon meat (belgium); dessert must surely be better??no, the boysenberry meringue was 4 little very sugary hard meringues with a tsp cream and a boysenberry plonked on top and about a tablespoon of ice cream in the centre of the plate…nothing about this meal was worth the money we paid for it. Yes we did complain!

Sometimes hit and miss as to quality of the meal but generally good food.
Just got back from an awesome night out with 5 kids. Service was top notch. Waited 5 minutes after ordering and the kids had drinks & garlic bread. Mains were superb and filling as were the puddings. Will definitely be back again. Keep up the good work guys!
