In addition, we felt the meals took longer than expected to arrive after we had ordered them. Another small thing, is that we felt we the time frame in which the staff took our entree order was long, we felt we were sitting for a while before our order was taken.
On a positive note, we felt your staff were very friendly and helpful when asked about anything, also the quick response to filling our water glasses. This lead to our experience at your restaurant being excellent. Further more, the quality of the meals was top class and we would highly recommend your restaurant to family and friends.
We were seated upstairs ,the music was pleasant and non obtrusive, we could all hear each other without having to raise our voices. The wine list was interesting.
The menu made choosing difficult, it all looked inviting. Once decisions were made the service was great, the food looked fabulous and tasted even better. Pity licking the plate has gone out of fashion.
Our waitress was helpful, attentive and efficient. All in all this was the nicest dining experience I have had,not only in NZ,but anywhere

We went as a party of 9 persons ranging in age from 11 years to mid-80s and everyone enjoyed the setting and felt that their needs and preferences were well met.

We were in Newmarket yesterday and decided to go there for lunch. What we like about Iguacu is the standard of service, food and ambience NEVER changes; it is ALWAYS 5 star.
Whether the restaurant is busy or quiet, they manage to keep the high standard.
Well done Julie-Ann Bell and your team…

The food was fresh & tasty, & the Moet a comparative bargain at $16 a flute. We had called in to have some of the luscious oysters, but they were so popular, they’d run out. We will have to return to try again, & hopefully have more time to enjoy a full meal.

We go to Iguacu every few months, usually for lunch at the weekend. We have been going there for quite a while and really enjoy our visits.
Brunch/Lunch between for my wife and I consisted of a mussel fritters and the big breakfast. The fritters were very nice and hard to utter a bad word about them. The big breakfast was, well big. Poached eggs were perfectly done, and I was even asked if I would like them runny or not – which was a bonus! They make a great coffee there too!
Unfortunately due to the humidity, salt isn’t easy to shake over your eggs without having large moistened clumps fall out. The bacon meanwhile was plentiful but a few pieces were a bit too crisp. But thats hardly something to complain about.
Overall the meal was very good. What impressed me more than anything was the toilets. Which is an odd thing to be impressed by, but they were clean and everything appeared to be stainless steel.
So recommendation this time around, is go there if just to use the facilities!
