The standard of the food and the service at I.G. are usually very high. My only complant would be to stop letting 50 first-year university students have rowdy BYO’s there!

Have been here twice over the last month. Once in the evening and once at lunch. Both times the restaurant has been pretty busy yet the food has come out very quickly.
Food has been absolutely delicious both times, definitely one of the best in Dunedin, and they give you a decent amount of rice with your meal which is sometimes an issue at other Indian places when you are in a group of 2 or 3.
Cost is reasonable, perhaps a couple of dollars more than some of the other restaurants in the suburbs that also have good food but the corkage here is a bit cheaper…

Having tried every Indian restaurant in Dunedin over the years I have to say this one is the best in terms of food quality, quantity, pricing, and atmosphere. And LOVELY people too. No hesitation in recommending this one!!!

My family and I love the food here. Service is fantastic and curries really tasty. I love the Naan here, and overall menu price very affordable.

Favourite restaurant! Amazing food – very nice and enough of it. Nice cosy place. Service is good – nice and friendly. The price is the best bit – very cheap.

One small problem, last time we came in as a big group for a byo and had a problem with the order. One of my friends heard Butter Chicken when it was really Balti Chicken. We had to pay for the extra meal. Something needs to be done about the ordering for large groups as it is a popular byo place. Perhaps a numbered ticketing system?

That’s just a small mishap though. And one of the hassles of eating in a large group. Every other time has been perfect! =]

Very friendly, family atmosphere, lovely decor and just a comfortable place to spend some time. The food is very good too — we love coming here!

Went for tea with some friends and we decided to go with a banquet meal. The service was fantastic, friendly atmosphere and the food was awesome. Best Butter Chicken ever. Will definitely be going back there.

Great food, very authentic. Had Banquet menu where you could choose three main dishes, had chicken vindaloo, Goan fish curry and a vegetarian eggplant dish, served with basmati rice and two naan breads. Also entree of lamb slices and onion bahji and price included tea/coffee and a choice of desert. Also ordered an extra keema naan and a couple of beautiful Mango Lassi – all this for $69.50 for two. Very good value….so much food couldn’t eat it all.

Lovely friendly atmosphere, great staff and good authentic Indian food. Two thumbs up
