Great place for casual dining. The curries were all delicious, and there was ample rice (which makes a nice change). The prices are very reasonable. The establishment was very clean and cheerful. The staff were very pleasant, but the occasional smile wouldn’t go amiss. Overall we loved it and would certainly return.

I wouldn’t bother going back here again. Garlic naan was bland and almost cold, prawn malabri was flavourless with hardley any prawns and the people at the counter didn’t smile once, it felt like we wern’t welcome. They were extremely rude when serving us.

Best Indian Takeaway……Great Spices, and authentic curry taste.

I would prefer to have Takeaway rather then McDonald’s, Burger king, KFC…..

Very nice Indian Takeaways. Have ordered from them often, all food has been great apart from the onion bhajis which have been stodgy every time (we just don’t order them anymore).

They do deliver which would be convenient, but the one time we tried it the guy could not understand my New Zealand accent when trying to give him the address.

Indian Spice in south Dunedin is the worst place where you can get something to eat, they have lack of respect for the customer their nasty and the food wasn’t that good they gave me beef vindaloos which was basically cold when i asked for hot and spicy and delivered my flatmate with hot butter chicken instead of mild

Visited the restaurant on 30 July 2010 and got takeaways for my family. Food was very average, with lots of sauce and very little meat. But there was more. My daughter and myself found GRAVEL IN THE CURRY. I returned a few days later with the receipt and the specimens of gravel, whereby I was told I could have another curry. Yea right. All I wanted was my money refunded, and some affirmative responses from the staff that they would look into the matter. None was forthcomming. So my response to all you diners out there, is to give the place the big “heave Ho”.

One of my favourite places to go and eat, I absolutely love their naan, as it is fresh! The price is great and the food is authentic! I would recommend it to anyone!

Food is great and value for money. The naans were not the best – undercooked hence doughy. This has happened on a number of occasions,thus I don’t order it anymore.

Fantastic friendly service always very obliging. Excellent authentic Indian dishes with a price that is difficult to beat. Always a table available so no need to book. Takeaways popular. This place is a hidden gem.

Our favourite restaurant because of the delicious food and really friendly people who run it. Nothing is too much trouble for this owner; whether it be keeping a younger child happy with changes to the order, or doing up a “doggie bag” to take home. Always generous with the rice and extras.
