Absolutely delicious food and amazing service. The staff are always so friendly and last night the waitress overhead it was my husband’s birthday and organised for my son to take out a dessert with a candle as a surprise!

We arrived at Indian Summer at 6:30 and got sat straight at our seats and were given a menu. We were then ignored by the waitress until about 7:15 when my boyfriend finally got up to asked for our order to be taken. She saw him coming and answered the phone and refused to look at him. He then came back and sat down and she asked us if we wanted any drinks but we ordered at the same time – only mains. At 8:15 our mains finally arrived, one hour and 45 mins after we got to the restaurant! But to make this worse, it was a Monday night and there were only three other couples in the restaurant! Very disappointed with the service but the food was good – once we finally got it!!

I have been coming to Indian Summer for the last 7 years and every time the food is of the best quality. i have never had a bad meal and TC and his team are always attentive. He even remembers my name.
This is the BEST indian food in this country.

Nice decor and friendly service from the waitress, food was delicious and resonably good value.

What spoilt it for us was the rude woman who we paid the bill with, she scoffed when we asked to split the bill.

Usually i can understand this as places are busy but it wasn’t.

Unfortunate as without her I could have gived Indian Summer 4 stars.

This small quaint restaurant and has a lovely atmosphere. The first time going here, we were seated in the front room by the window, and the second time it was in the second room with no window but had easier access towards the lovely covered balcony area towards the back of the restaurant. The place is clean, neat and tidy with friendly, welcoming staff. I have been back to this place when ever in the vicinity with my partner.

The villa conversion with high arched windows create a relaxing ambiance as well as the warm colors of the wall.

The food at every visit was beautifully prepared, delectable and succulent. This is one of my favourite Indian restaurants, and my partner thinks that this is the best in Auckland.

The service is fantastic and attentive whenever we needed a top up on our drinks. This is quite a special place and glad it’s found it’s way on MenuMania!

I thoroughly enjoyed Indian Summer! The food was excellent, service was exceptional, reasonably priced and the atmosphere very nice (we had a choice of where we could sit…indoor or outdoor). Highly recommended for a nice night out or for special occassions.

Considering that other reviews rated this restaurant highly I was greatly disappointed with my experience.
* Tiny front room, no view.
* Service was slow.
* Starter, although was on the small side for a platter for 2 was nice.
* Main meal was totally different to any other kind of Indian meal that I have ever had before and not in a good way, since when does a Jalfrezi come with peas, carrots, broccoli, potato, beans, it doesn’t, that actually makes it a stew!
* Friendly staff although they seem some how lost.
All in all quite a disappointment, would not go again and would not recommend.

Indian Summer is the best Indian food i have had. Great service and lovely setting!

We have been to Indian summer 3 times,all for celebrations. The staff are all lovely and very welcoming.The setting is relaxing.They give you just the right amount of attention. The food is terrific!! The best Indian we have had from anywhere.I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.My favourite is the chickpea curry!!

We love Indian food and for us Indian Summer is the very best around. We eat there every week, when we can. The Chicken Korma is die for, as is the Tandoori Squid and the Hariyali Paneer Tikka.
The staff treat you like ‘one of the family’ when you are a regular. Our friends all frequent Indian Summer and it is a great local place to catch up with friends. Great prices, great food…. YUM!

The food and service were both of a very high standard.I would recommend this restaurant.
