We arrived with a voucher that was for takeaway only, but the restaurant was almost empty so they let us dine in, which was a pleasant surprise. The restuarant was warm and cosy. When I wanted a Keema naan, which was not catered for in the voucher, they were quite accomodating in the change.

However, despite the decent service I can’t look past the food (which is why you’re there, right?). It was very bland – I’ve had a rogan josh from most of the places in Dunedin and this was probably the second worst. And the rice was awful, I think it had been re-heated in a microwave because they weren’t busy and didn’t want to make it fresh.

I’m giving them two stars for the service but otherwise it would be one.

I’ve been here twice since the new owners have taken over and each time it has been delicious! There is a massive range to choose from, which I love, and both times I’ve tried different curries and they were epic. The price is great as well – I don’t think you can get Indian any cheaper in Dunedin. Also, the staff are friendly and the food cooked in a timely manner. I can’t wait to go back tomorrow!

This was the worst Indian meal we have ever had. The Chicken Tikka Masala, was chicken in an orange dishwater…no taste whatsoever and drowning in grease. The Korma was awful, very sweet and no spice. The Keema Naan was greasy and tasted of lamb fat. Definitely would not recommend!

I am a regular customer of Indian Taste and I tried most of the items from the menu. All items contains real Indian taste as i have travelled India four times. Really fast service good food and nice atmosphere nearby my home.
I will recommend to everyone.
