Partner and I were up from Auckland and were lucky enought to choose The Italians for dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed the seafood pasta, and the freshly baked bread, which came in very generous portions. Prices were well below what we would expect in Auckland.

Chef/Owner came and asked everyone how their meals were at the end of the night which was a nice personal touch.

We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and came on the off chance.The welcome was friendly and we managed to get a side table which felt a bit strange to not be part of the whole.As a vegetarian I didn’t immediately find something but was recommended a pasta dish as it was Thursday and they do a pasta special.My husband loved his pizza.My portion was huge and enough for two.Had looked forward to the bread which was part of the special but NEVER came.Would’ve appreciated someone checking up on us during the meal to see if all was OK.I am sure we will be back.Thank you.

Italians is mine and my friends favourite resturant……we go there for dinner every time we have girls movie night…….the food is really really yummy and the price range is affordable for the large amount you get on your plate…..so you leave with a full satisfied tummy and money still in your wallet….the bread is amazing and is our favourite and is a big reason why we go there…..the pasta and pizza is divine….the chef always lets me change my dish to my liking which is so cool…..the waitresses are always friendly…..been there 8 times so far……thanks for continuing to be awsome italians

Awesome food, best Pizzas EVER! lovely wee scottish girl working although a few more waitresses wouldnt go amis? The Thursday pasta Penne is divine, i always make a effort to visit the italians when im in Kerikeri for work. Quite honestly the only place in kerikeri i enjoy having a meal. Recommend a booking first however!

Outstanding and authentic. Worth every second of the slightly above average wait for food, with everything (including bread) cooked to order. Pizza just perfect and at least as good as any I have had in Italy (many). Service attentive despite staff being rushed off their feet. Eat on two successive nights and wished we could have gone back for a third.

Cesare is an incredible cook and obviously loves the country of his birth. How he manages to produce such wonderful food, essentially on his own and to order, is amazing.

We went to the Italians for a casual dinner out not expecting anything special and we ended up going there two nights in a row. There food is amazing, the best italian food I’ve ever tasted in New Zealand. Their pasta sauce are to die for.

A very busy eatery, and for good reason. Wonderful food. very authentic and full of flavour.
The pasta special is excellent and includes a glass of wine, and the Bacio dessert – divine.
But have patience, as the staff are run off their feet.

If you really want excellent Italian food, come here, simple as that! I had the chef’s own invention, sounds like a lot of strong ingredients but oh yum!! The home-made sausages are lovely. I have been taken out to some exceptional Italian restaurants for special occasions but this is honestly my favourite. If your in town for a couple of nights, visit the Indian restaurant down the road, it’s excellent too.

We live near Kerikeri, and this is definitely the best restaurant we have found. The food is always superb! The staff are friendly. When we want a special night, or just incredibly delicious food, this is the restaurant to come to.

One of the best restaurants we have been to. Probably the best in KK.(From a local) The breads & dips are superb, the food divine(try the pork masala)& it would be hard to find anyone that cooks steak better but most are worse, It is quite simply cooked perfect. Great range from a late night snack that doesn’t set you back much more than Macdonalds to a full meal, the Italians are superb, & fair prices makes us a regular……although we could happily eat here every day! Please dont retire anytime soon Cesare!

I often get takeaway pizza here and the Bartolomeo is fantastic, the homemade Italian sausage is worth the price on it’s own, it is Italian though & it’s not a good idea to trust when the pizza will be ready I generally add between 5-10 minutes. Well worth the wait as the food is superb.
The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere, but is a bit cramped & like takeaway the food takes a good amount of time, but worth every minute of the wait. The staff at the moment are awesome, though the first review was accurate back then, we took awhile to go back, glad we did though.

What,a nice littie spot. But the food took along time to come and,there were no smiles from the staff, wont be back in a hurry.
