Small family restaurant with lovely food, good variety and excellent service. Have eaten here on numberous occasions and although we really enjoy our meals most visits it is sometimes a bit of a let down as is not always consistant.

Last Friday my family ordered from the Jasmine Restaurant 2 x green curry 1 x phang curry and stir fry pork in oyster sauce. We had heard great things about the Jasmine and was looking forward to trying as we have been to Thailand a few times and have eaten regularly thai food which we love.

What a disappointment to say the least! $80.00 for bad food.

The green curry’s were ok just passable, I am not right into being ethnic thai food as I like the euro version for our platters as well as the thai version but this was a weak version of either and was the least disappointing of all the dishes but really had no taste to it comparing to all of the green curries I have ever eaten this would have to be the worst.

The phang curry was a tasteless version of thai food I have ever tried it was worst than a packet version from the supermarket and they can be really nice sometimes. It was like eating coloured food with no flavour. Even the teenagers were saying how the food really sucked! And that is saying something as they are really hungry teenagers!

The pork in oyster sauce was very week flavour something a 10 year old could have whipped up easily and probably tasted better.

Please do not get me wrong I am not a fussy Thai food eater as I love thai food but I would never go back and order from the Jasmine Thai Restaurant.

Since moving to Tauranga ten months ago my wife and I have enjoyed numerous meals at the Jasmine Thai Restaurant. Thai is our favourite restaurant food and we have enjoyed consistently good meals at this restaurant. We highly recommend it.

Pleasant but unremarkable in every way: food, service, selection are all ok without being anything special.

The menu offers many delights not found at the other Thai restaurants in the area, try the Golden Purses as an entrée. A real treat to the palette; one of many one of a kind dishes on the menu. The Chef knows how to produce authentic and flavourful meals at a high value. The restaurant is very relaxing with an ambiance that affords you a place to enjoy the experience.

Food is lovely unfortunately they don’t deliver, its a shame as there is a huge market in Tauranga for a Thai that delivers!!!! Would definitely recommend as a dine in / pick up.
