Stop off for Dinner from the Steam Train. Excellent find.The food was superb. My partner and I had massamam curry – beef. So fragrant. The gravy was delicious and so creamy. We also had chicken chilli and cashew – again a dish to die for. The decor let this place down. An out of place crystal chandelier hung in the centre of the room. We were early and the tables weren’t dressed. But the waitress started to dress them. Should have done ours first as we had just sat down. Again we missed out on the linen napkins – having tissue serviettes. The food one on the night. Fantastic

Great place to dine in Taumarunui – have already been twice when passing coming back from the snow. They offer Thai & all-day breakfast, what an odd combo but both are satisfying! Excellent portions of food and consistently good.
