My family and I have been regulars for quite some time now. The food is always delicious and and looks amazing. The coffee is the best in the area by far and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Our son loves the train table! Just what Browns Bay needed. Thanks Java Jungle!

Will not be going there again!!!! have been a regular for a while now but today I booked a table for 5 for breakfast outside, we reserved the table and arrived to find that they had let other patrons eating inside to tie their dog up to our table because it was in the shade, then I ordered the mushrooms and when it arrived it was a plate of ciabatta with not much mushrooms and they had so much salt on they burnt my mouth (the chef agreed with me) so instead of being offered my money back I was offered a free coffee!! And then to add insult to injury we watched the news tonight (Easter Sunday) and found out that cafes were breaking the law by charging a surcharge today…Java Jungle were charging an extra 15%, as i said we have always been regulars but after todays performance we will not be back and i will be telling everybody
…..
Update: Further to receiving an email from the crazy woman that owns this place in response to my negative feedback where she has personally attacked me I will be posting what she sent me on facebook so everybody can see what a nasty crazy piece of work she is…If you cant handle any negative feedback from MenuMania then why be a member…I wish I didnt even have to give her 1 star but the no star is not an option.

Pity there are only 5 stars, as this place ticks all the boxes and more. Prompt, friendly service, great family atmosphere, awesome food and great prices in one of the most beautiful settings around. By far the best of all the high quality eateries on the strip (and the best burgers I have ever had)!! Thanks Java Jungle:)
Great food and awesome service. Best eggs Benedict ever ( so says my cousin from Toronto, big traveller and big eater) great play area for children. Afterwards go for a walk on browns bay beach or take children to playground.

I came with a group of mum’s as it is a child friendly cafe. I think not. Staff service was poor, food was below average and over priced for what it is. Some of the cakes on offer look like my 8 year old had made them! Not at all what I expected. The decor and atmosphere is lacking. I will not be returning, neither will my group. Too expensive for what you get.

Nice little joint. Lacks ‘atmosphere’ and is quite ‘cold’ feeling inside. The cabinet food is quite nice which I often purchase. It’s a tad pricey but I really appreciate that the vegetables used are so crisp and fresh (whether it’s a pasta salad or salad in a sandwhich).
I’d like to see more sandwhiches on offer.

It’s awesome to have a child friendly cafe in browns bay. My son loves playing in the toy corner while us mums can catch up and chat. 2 criticisms though.. I ordered a strawberry smoothies there and it was not good at all. It tasted really artificial and watery tasting & left a funny taste in my mouth. I couldnt finish it. When I asked what it was I was told it was some sort of powder. Usually expect smoothies to be made with fresh fruit & maybe yogurt?
Also my husband and I had been regularly going down for breakfast for a special which was eggs and coffee for 9.95 but the last time we went we were advised it was no longer running which was a shame as that was a usp for us, so we left & went elsewhere and probably won’t be back for breakfast as it’s quite pricey

My husband and I have made it our weekend tradition to have coffee and a bite to eat from this cafe, we love the location and the coffee is really good. Excellent to have at long last a child friendly cafe in Browns Bay, great idea Java Jungle!!!! Our toddlers love playing there and especially like the special kids treats like the chocolate marshmallow sticks!!! It’s great having the choice of ordering food from the menu and from the cabinet, and it’s very good value for money. This is by far our favourite eatery in Browns Bay, we look forward to heading back there this Saturday!!!!

My coffee group for new mums went to Java Jungle after a pleasant initial meal. However, on 2 subsequent occasions we had an experience which has put us off further visits.
On the first occasion, we were asked to leave after having coffee and cake as the lunch rush was approaching- fair enough, we were taking up tables that could be used by prospective lunch time diners. We returned for our next weekly meet up and made sure we ordered a 2nd round of drinks within the hour to be reasonable.
However, we were tersely asked to leave again while still consuming the drinks purchased, despite many free tables around us. We were a small group of brand new mums and the unavoidable prams, and thought we would be welcome as this seemed a family friendly environment, with an inviting childrens play area.
Instead, we were left feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable. Not the best word of mouth for a new venue I would think!

We are a child friendly cafe and encourage parents and coffee groups to visit us. It does however get a bit tricky as we can get quite busy at lunch time and if there are 6 or so large prams in a group they can obstruct the use of other tables – this would be why…

I had breakfast this morning. The setting for this cafe is great. But that’s the only good part. I ordered a big breakfast for $18.50 and a caramel latte. The latte came in a small water glass and cost me $5.50. Which is a rip off. The breakfast came in good time and was a good amount. But the quality was lacking. The sausages were cheap, like a bulk bag from the mad butcher and they were lightly burnt. I ended up giving them to my dog. I had poached eggs, they had been poach with malt vinegar. So they were all brown and dirty looking. The bacon was crispy, which I don’t mind. But some of it was burnt and I never asked for crispy bacon. After paying $26 for all this I was very unhappy. As a chef in a cafe myself I was quite put back. I have a sausage supplier in browns bay. a very good butcher and a quality product. I do not understand why cafe cut corners in such obvious ways.
I also had some hollandaise sauce. I’m not sure if it was a bought product but it certainly looked and tasted like it.
The service was average. I never got asked if everything was ok. not once was I checked on. I left with my plate still on the table and there was only 3 tables occupied.
Very poor. I will not be returning to Java Jungle.
I believe they should take more care and passion in there food and products.

I am sorry to hear that you felt that the service and food were not up to standard. I have discussed all the matters in this review with our staff so that we can improve on all areas as we aim to provide good quality food, coffee and service. Just for the record…
