Went there in the weekend and I found the place to be extra child friendly with a sandpit outdoors too. Children were playing with toys and it was not a problem at all, if a child is yelling and jumping around disrupting others dining, then it would be a problem. Staff were super friendly, coffee was nice and strong, food was delicious, place was packed, not an empty table in sight! Had to wait for one, but was not long till they freed up. Most enjoyable experience.

Very unfriendly place. The owners and clientele are VERY anti children. DO NOT frequent this place if you have KIDS. They have a toy area but its only there for show as they don’t like any ‘noise’ even if its just children playing with toys. This has to be one of the most unpleasant cafe’s in Auckland. Recommend NOT to go there, no wonder there are only a handful of people in the place!!!

We go here regulary as a family. The servings are grand, great coffee. Be sure to go straight to the counter to order as soon as you arrive, as it is hit n’ miss if table service is available on that day. Also order round 2 of coffee well ahead of time, as it is always busy. The atmosphere is great. Feels so cosy & comfortable. Another great west Auckland cafe! Would recommend to others. Enjoy!

I love the quirky, laid back atmosphere of this place. Food is well prepared and plenty of it and good value. Coffee is great and the staff are friendly and helpful.

We have been going to this cafe for 6 years now and it is consistently wonderful – well worth our drive from the East Coast Bays.

The brunch foods are fantastic – BLT on the 5 grain bread is delicious, as is the french toast. And the coffee will energise you for the rest of your week! The baking in their cabinet is really good too – real home-made louise cake etc. YUM.

The atomosphere is great, too, with interesting old books, pictures and knick-knacks, and always some vintage music playing in the background.

Tranquil location, really pretty and relaxed – worth the drive (from Henderson)

Delicious french toast, very sweet (good for me ) but the fruit is so refreshing it balances out. My boyfriend had the field mushroom meal and he said it was great. Compliments to the chef! Service was really nice although a little distant when we were there but it wasn’t a problem.

Will definitely go back again and recommend it to others wholeheartedly!!

My mum and dad love the coffee, and the sticky date puddings my sister loves the brownies! The drinks are delicious perfect iced lemon tea!
My favourite cooked meal is the savoury pancake with chicken cheese and herbs! Oh my gosh you have to try it!
